Merged Due process in the US

Nope. You're deploying exactly the, "He/she was asking for it" justification....
Sigh, I have done no such thing. He did not "deserve" to be deported.

But I see nothing to suggest he deserves special effort by the USA to bring him back from his homeland.

Claiming that he is still alive would be just as baseless, as no evidence has been presented (so far) that he is alive.
That's pretty stupid, bro.

He was sent their alive. There is no evidence that his status as "living" has changed.

You just got paranoid baseless speculation. Here at ISF, we like claims based on evidence.

IMHO, it was an excellant analogy,
No, its terribly flawed. I never said he deserved to be deported due to his actions.

I only said he's done nothing to show he deserves special EFFORT on the part of the US govt to bring him back from his homeland.

There is a serious logical difference.

What about the reasons I gave?
He was sent by mistake. We should request he be returned or that we can bring him back here from his homeland.

That's not special effort, simply a short email.

"Dear El Salvador, we sent Mr. X to you in error, would you please send him back to the USA or allow us to bring him back? Thanks, USA."

From what I see so far, that's all the effort that this individual currently deserves.

It isn't paranoid. A judge agreed that it would be dangerous to send him back which was why he was protected.

You ignore evidence that you were provided.
There is no evidence that any harm has come to him. Just baseless speculation.

Yes, court orders should be ignored.

But now he's a Salvadorian national back home.

We dont have very much leverage here. And his behavior in the USA makes it hard to justify making any sort of big effort to bring him back here.

Was he an outstanding member of his community? Did he donate to charity? Walk dogs? Feed the blind? Volunteer at homeless shelters?

Whats soo special about this man that he deserves extra special effort from the USA?

Should all court orders be ignored or just the ones you personally disagree with?

It doesn't matter if he is outstanding what matters is he was sent in defiance of a court order. He deserves extra special effort to comply with the order of the court.

There is no evidence that any harm has come to him. Just baseless speculation.
Baseless, you keep using that word. I do not think you ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ know what it means. A judge felt there was enough evidence that Garcia was in danger to issue a protection order.

Whether or not he deserves some "special effort" by the administration to bring him back is totally irrelevant to the question of whether that administration owes something more to the rule of law than a minimal and purely performative effort to maintain it.

And has this administration done this?

imagine carrying water for this clown show, embarrassing
My only comfort is that a surprising number of them are young. Once the spell breaks, they'll have the rest of their lives to think back on how pathetic, ridiculous, and horrible they made themselves come across when they turned themselves into pretzels to support, deflect, and defend all the terrible and contradictory things the orange toddler and his cronies said and did. When they grow old enough to have kids and grandkids, they'll be asked what they did during that horrible time when Drumpf was president and millions died worldwide and Americans of all stripes suffered while he tried to destroy their democracy. It'll be like a devout German Hitlerjugend member being asked by their grandkids what they did to stop Hitler back in the day.

What will they say? Oh, uhm, :clears throat: well, you see, you have to understand that eggs were really expensive back then, and we were afraid of brown people coming across the border, and being trans is completely normal today but we were absolutely terrified of them, so grampa was one of those people who wore a red hat and proudly voted for him three times. Uhm... Hey, does anyone want to play ball in the backyard?

Then you believe that if the government violates a law they have no obligation to try to mitigate the effects of their breaking the law? And isn't the _____ Administration making a special effort to not bring him back by having the president of El Salvador fly to the US to announce that he won't be returned?
