Those ICE agents should be fired.
Those ICE agents should be fired.
So you accept that there is nothing the courts can do and it is up to the administration to resolve this.State Department intervention and pressure.
Do you have a point? He suggested that being half-Mexican makes one more likely to be detained by police. I want to know why.For example, yes, but we are talking about citizenship.
Let's see what the higher courts say.
Unnecessarily cruel, he's called X.It's a difficult job with a 4 year back-log.
That depends on the context in which the term is used. One can be part Mexican just like I'm part German. And many people claim to be 1/4 native American. Or part Irish. There's no such thing as "half-Mexican".
No, I am not convinced of this.So you accept that there is nothing the courts can do and it is up to the administration to resolve this.
Racism.Do you have a point? He suggested that being half-Mexican makes one more likely to be detained by police. I want to know why.
State Department intervention and pressure.
I do not believe ICE agents roam around town looking for people who might be breaking some law. I believe they act on tips or orders.Really? You don't think ICE is more likely to stop a person who appears Hispanic than someone who is white?
Mexican is not a ethnicity. Its a multi-racial society made up of natives, immigrants and former slaves. One can be of any race, any ethnicity and be Mexican. That depends on the context in which the term is used. One can be part Mexican just like I'm part German. And many people claim to be 1/4 native American. Or part Irish.
Was there a point to your post or were you just being....?
Funny how you dont see the ignorance and racism of such a comment.Really? You don't think ICE is more likely to stop a person who appears Hispanic than someone who is white?..
It's not difficult at all if all you do is cut. Offering buyouts to 80,000 agency associates isn't efficient, it's stupid. Eliminating whole depts like the Office of Infectious Disease* is not just short-sighted, it's disasterous. It's a difficult job with a 4 year back-log.
You can still be half of Mexican ancestry and half not regardless of your genetics.Mexican is not a ethnicity. Its a multi-racial society made up of natives, immigrants and former slaves. One can be of any race, any ethnicity and be Mexican.
Hispanic refers to people, cultures, of ethnicity tied to Spain, and the Spanish language. There are many Mexican citizens of German, and Jewish and other European descent, but I wouldn't necessarily refer to them as Hispanic.Funny how you dont see the ignorance and racism of such a comment.
I'll cut to the chase: Hispanics can be of any race.
You can just tell if they're illegal by the cut of their job. If they have paperwork to support their claim of legal status then that's a definite red flag, only a terrorist or a gang would have that and it'd be forged. How do you know they are illegal without due process? Also, applying for asylum is not illegal.
A very distinct point, yes. You cannot be "half" in the context of nationality. Bloodline or ancestral configurations are non-legitimate factors. As far as the likelyhood of being questioned by authorities based on your ..... what ..... colour of skin, etc you already know the answer to that question. And as far as I understand the rules in the US I am of the impression that "being detained"(as youjust now said) requires more than just the colour of your skin, right? Wrong?Do you have a point? He suggested that being half-Mexican makes one more likely to be detained by police. I want to know why.
Yes, I always keep my most valuable documentation about my person where it's most likely to be lost or stolen....If you are here on a visa, you really should keep it or your passport with you at all times.
If you are suspected of a crime and police grab you and you dont have your documents, may be a pain in the ass.
I see nothing cruel about it. When you have little time to do a big job there are bound to be some rough edges. It is what it is and hopefully the mistakes made will be corrected.Unnecessarily cruel, he's called X.
