The LC forum. I am somehow able to avoid the CT forum, but there is something incredibly..... I dunno, freakshowish... about the LC forum that makes it tough to stay away from.

Oh yes they banned me quickly. But I used a stop watch to be able to every 30 seconds post that thread into every single sub forum they had, to relay the message to as many truthers as possible. Hopefully someone took it to heart. With enough time to spare for coffe filtered through thier delusional little minds, quite dense filters too.

But I have to say. The loose change forums came as quite a shock to me. I had no idea such a large group of people could be so delusional. A few years of very scrupulous moderation and removal of any person of different view has caused very deep "inbreeding of opinions" when no other ideas are welcome and the result is quite scary.

How did you find to the 9/11 Issue - and to this thread?

And to be fair - things changed drastically over there since
then. The Admins right now aren't censoring and banning that
much anymore. Hell, even JREF'er are now defending the Admins
over there against Truthers who claim there is too much censor. :D

I found the 9/11 issue when I first saw the loose change video many years ago and thought "holy crap this all makes sense. The government was behind it all... and a missile into the pentagon... and that holes.... must be a missile"

The video was very charismatic.

But then I started reading more into it and at first I found myself amoung the truthers agreeing with them but then one thing here and there didnt make sense to me so I asked my other "friends" for example why they make such a big deal of the melting point of steel when it doesnt have to melt. It just needs to be weaked. The reply was a pretty direct reprimand against questioning the truth movement. Then when someone claimed that apparantly light poles had been planted by government agents outside the pentagon I asked how on earth governments agents would be able to ride around in a big truck droping light poles without anyone seeing them. That actualy got me a swift ban from the forum. Which to me made the truth seekers seem alot more like religious fanatics clinging to thier faith rather than people who want to find the truth. I keept reading more into it. I noticed what loose change cut out, added and took out of context.

They spent alot more effort on pushing thier old thoroughly debunked ideas. Than they did researching what happened. And thats when I realised that it wasnt about 9/11 or the people that died. But about the makers of the loose change videos. Trying to cause as big of a controversy as possible to try and get as much fame as they possibly could and earn them money.

I found this thread actualy when I googled my domain. EasternRecords.com. To see if anything had happened in the world related to it as I recently had a massive jump in bandwitdh usage this month by 15 GB.

After my time on the loose change forum alot of the conspiracy theorists started doing checkups on my domain, suspecting it to be from the US government I fellt quite smug as they asked around on other forums and did a "whois" on it amoung other things.

Your story sounds pretty familiar to me since I got caught
by the Idea that the Gov did it after seeing Loose Change.
And just like you, I signed up in there and after a while I asked
questions about things that didn't make sense. That's when
I was banned the first time - which pissed me off because
I wanted to know what happened that day.

So after 60 or so Bans over there, I think I got pretty much
all questions answered regarding conspiracy theories besides
some of the political sides of 9/11.

Concerning the money: Well, I think Dylan is honest when
he said that the first movie was more like a personal project
without the intention to make money. And I think he never
would have dreamed of the success until the second edition
skyrocketed.

So I don't know if the LC-Crew at one point wanted to make
money out of it, but I'm also not that sure if I wouldn't have
used the hype to go commercial. After all, this is how it works
in the US and many western countries, isn't it?

Who knows. Mayby at first he actualy belived when he wrote. But when he started purpously editing out parts to make things seem compleatlyn different to what they where. Then it was about the fame and money.

No one would watch a LC video where the main story is that a bunch of jihadist terrorists hijacked the planes and the government wasnt involved. Its too mainstream... its just not fashionable... not cool.
