Comparing Phil Robertson to Islamist fundamentalists is absurd. When Jesus or the Bible is mocked, US Christian fundies don't throw a violent temper tantrum. I can't believe I have to mention this, but they also don't produce propaganda snuff films in the name of their religion. If you really believe that living with Christian fundies is anything like living with Islamic radicals then please, do yourself a favor and pull your head out of your ass.

They don´t throw a violent temper tantrum, because they know they would not get away with it, and they are far too cowardly to martyr themselves.

However, as you are aware if you have been living in the same world as the rest of us, they throw non-violent temper tantrums every times somebody does or says something that goes against their fundamentalist zealotry - such as saying "Happy Holiday" instead of "Merry Christmas".

Also, Christians in the USA have political power. currently, they are winning the abortion issue with states practically banning it.

No. Actually, HELL no.

And there are no "innocents" to a religious fanatic. You are, as a recent president of the US put, either with us or with the other guys - and to a religious fanatic, the other guys are the incarnation of evil, pretty much by definition. So, any "moral courage" they could possibly have would make them kill people, not spare people.
