Does the traditional atheistic worldview contradict materialism?

The OP, yes. It hasn't been a terrible thread salvage though. Maybe a little too subjective and filled with people talking past each other, but considering the subject matter, not bad.

I still don't know what 'the traditional atheist worldview' is. I am an atheist because I have never seen any evidence that any god or gods exist. Is that a worldview?

You aren't a traditional atheist, normally comprising disillusioned war veterans and grizzled mountain men. Such atheists contradict materialism in that if they ever managed to accumulate any wealth, they'd quickly drink it away.
