Merged Does CERN prove Einstein wrong?

I don't have such evidence and I have never said that I have such evidence, so what are you waiting for?

You suggested that Kennedy was killed to scare me and other knowledgeable people into lying about Apollo. Would you like to retract that claim now?

So how do you plan to deal with my disputation of your Moon hoax claims?

Jay may I suggest you put your famous quote in your signature, I believe it was something like:

'It must be nice to live in a world unhindered by reality'

"It must be fun to lead a life completely unburdened by reality." Several people are already using that as their signature quote. It might seem pretentious if I do so as well.

My favorite signature quote is, "Facts are stubborn things," from the opening statement of John Adams' defense of the British soldiers brought up on charges in the Boston Massacre. I use it because Adams was entirely predisposed to hate the British, but was compelled by the facts of the case to argue for their acquittal. Facts don't go away just because we feel otherwise.

Indeed. I have always found Adams' defense of the British soldiers a perfect example of facts overriding bias.

This thread seems to have gone considerably off track since I last dropped by but:

Speedy neutrino mystery likely solved, relativity safe after all

http://dvice.com/archives/2011/10/speedy-neutrino.php

Anders is going to love this. Phil "The Bad Astronomer" Plait, former President of the James Randi Educational Foundation, doesn't think that's the answer:

Phil Plait said:
As I recall from the foofooraw that unfolded after the initial announcement, the original experimenters said they accounted for all relativistic effects. The paper they published, however, didn’t include the details of how they did this, so it’s not clear what they included and what they might have left out. It’s possible van Elburg might be right, but I expect we haven’t seen the end of this.

[...]

But I’ll wait for the reaction from the original experimenters to see what they say. If we’ve learned one thing from all this, it’s that it’s best not to jump to conclusions.

Yes, to that I can actually admit. But bear in mind that it's just one of many possible conspiracy theories. And b.t.w. I have changed my mind about Jackie pulling the trigger. I think it was the driver who pushed a remote button. Jackie held JFK in a calculated and what looked like rehearsed way, but she may not have known about that JFK was about to be killed.

Here are two images about that:

Notice that Jackie's dress has no stains where she sat, and she sat in that seat all the way to the hospital. So the stain on the backseat has been added later to obscure the bullet exit holes in the bottom of the backseat.

What in the world has this to do with CERN?

As I have already said before, Einstein's theories are flawed. This result from CERN confirms it.

It's very easy to show that Einstein's special relativity is false. Two photons traveling in opposite directions have the relative velocity between them of two times the speed of light, not one time the speed of light as special relativity claims.

In this case, the emperor of science has no clothes. :D

In a word, Yes

What in the world has this to do with CERN?

It's a part of the bigger picture, just as the Apollo program is a part of that same overall conspiracy along with the atom bomb hoax and Einstein's bogus theories. It's how the international bankers (or some group like that) are controlling the whole world.

In a word, Yes

I made a mistake there. The relative velocity between two photons traveling in opposite directions is actually two times the speed of light even according to Einstein's relativity. The speed of light limit only applies to the relative velocity between the observer and other objects. So in the case of the photons, the relative velocity between any of them and the observer is 1c.

Incredible - have you finally managed to learn something?

Incredible - have you finally managed to learn something?

Ha ha, BUT I still believe there should be scientific experiments done with measuring the speed of light from a moving source relative to the observer. I suspect that for example c + 1000 m/s = c is false and that experiments will show that if they are done in practice. A source I posted earlier said that no such experiment has been done which I find highly suspicious.

Maybe I overreacted, but I will stop contacting experts about conspiracy stuff...

You're not "contacting experts about conspiracy stuff." You're calling experts liars if they don't confirm your conspiracy belief.

...in case they can't handle it. Just in case.

In case they can't handle it? You're the one who won't take intellectual responsibility for his claims.

Every conspiracy theory has to call someone a liar. But I've found that with few exceptions, conspiracy theorists are only willing to level those accusations from a very safe distance.

JFK was sacrificed so that the Apollo hoax could continue.

You are so naive.

JFK was sacrificed by our reptilian overlords so that the Apollo hoax could continue, in order to devellop the technology necessary to destroy the world trade center and recover some of the fed-backed, worthless fiat currency as ordered by the original Paul McCartney, since then abducted by gray aliens and replaced by a body double.

This is where I start to actively dislike conspiracy theorists. Bad enough that they lie and distort science and history -- I happen to think that spreading scientific ignorance is bad for all of us -- but they also seem to believe in a world where;

1) No-one is very smart, no-one can accomplish great things. Einstein was a fool, engineers are all faking it trying to make things look complex, geologists are all frantically cribbing off each others papers because they don't actually know anything but how to support a status quo, computers and the pyramids were only built with alien assistance, etc.

2) No-one is courageous. Not just the average person, but ALL the people who know enough to matter are willing to put a paycheck ahead of even human decency; they'll turn a blind eye to mass murder as long as they can keep their own job.

It is a scary, depressing, and downright sick world they believe in, and I am sickened to think that they see other people, their fellow human beings, in that light.

And you know why they live in such a world ? It's the only one in which the conspiracy theorist feels he has any worth, in comparison.
