Well, yes, I realize that. But it goes both ways right? And if you`re rigorous enough, as in Karl Popper rigorous, then nothing can ever be 100% proven, only more or less confirmed. And back to my crude wrestling analogy, it seems to me that supporters of the democrats dismiss all allegations of fraud against the democrats instantly, while supporters of the republicans do the same thing with the allegations against them.
As someone who is truly neutral on the matter, and who also has a powerful distrust of all politicians, media and bureaucrats, I tend to instinctively believe all allegations of such people committing fraud because it confirms my bleak world view. In fact I would start digging for verification as soon as someone told me a politician had been honest, and would check my watch if one told me the time of day.
