Actually, they don't, which is why many Catholic priest, nuns and other clergy who would otherwise leave stay.

A 35-year-old man with a mistress who wants to marry him can't do the right thing by her and leave to get married because his Divinity degree and knowledge of Latin doesn't go far in the outside world and he has no work experience to speak of, having been in a seminary and then church since he was a teenager. I'd imagine many Catholic priests don't even have a high school diploma and how would a middle aged person start all over again, anyway? Wouldn't be fair to his wife so they go on meeting in secret once in a while and living a very unsatisfying and unfulfilling lie, always being afraid of being found out. Very old and common story.

There are stories of ex-priests and their wives scrapping out a living washing floors or depending on welfare and soup kitchens to survive.

Millionaire evangelists, however, don't need that kind of help and can make do just fine without us. :D Maybe he can borrow Jerry Falwell's private jet in a pinch. :D
