Director of Education at the Royal Society wants Creationism in Schools

And before you go off on the word "respect", it's such a vague word that "respecting" creationism could mean anything; in the context given, they are not respecting it as an idea but merely showing respect to students expressing it, as I understand it. If I'm wrong then I obviously disagree, but a word like "respect" is slippery and people tend to talk past each other or equivocate when using it.

This is all too typical of modern journalism. A statement goes in to the press and comes out exactly backwards from what was said, and then the speaker is held accountable for the backwards version. Part of the reason I hardly pay attention anymore.
