A couple of days ago I plugged my teenagers' IPod into the computer to recharge it, now it doesn't work. The little screen is kind of flickering but not brightly, all else is not working. Can I do anything to make it work again ?

"Mom ! You broke my IPod, I hate you....Waaaaa!"

Do the new iPods have a way to reboot them (other than turning it on and off)?

Every time I had a problem with my old iPod mini, I did a quick reset. It worked most times (I think I had to format it once).

You can reset an iPod Touch by holding the sleep button and the home button together. I don't know what kind of iPod the OP's teen has.

Apple is pretty good on warranties. I believe that is one of their selling points. Contact the store.

If it's a nano, try toggling the lock button (the slidey one on the top) between off and on - ending up at on - and then hold down menu button and middle button until the little apple - hopefully - shows up.
