Destroyed Atlantis = Menorah

So, if Plato was writing 'pure' fiction, how did he get the Younger Dryas date right?

Or do skeptics reject the date of this event?
And you will be providing evidentiary support for this new claim, right?

Do you think that the Harry Potter books are fact or fiction?

Do you think that King's Cross station is fact or fiction?

Do you think that platform 9 3/4 is fact or fiction?

Please show us where anyone here says that Plato wrote nothing but "pure fiction". Or withdraw the claim.

We'll wait and we know you won't withdraw your false claim so we'll be prepared to do it for you.

You want me to quote people saying Plato wrote pure fiction that can't be relied upon for truth?

Why?

I wouldn't get anything else done this week!

Would you care to address Plato's Younger Dryas accuracy or not?

Hey look another page of bandwidth has been sacrificed and still nothing to support the OP's baseless claim!

Sure, OP has presented litle to no evidence for any of his claims, but that's not important now.
What's really important is that we have to justify why Plato set the destruction of Atlantis 12000 years ago, for some reason.

But keep in mind that the ruins in Spain that OP claims are Atlantis are a lot younger than that. If Plato was correct about the date the ruins aren't Atlantis. If the ruins are Atlantis, Plato was wrong about the date.

So Plato is simultaneously correct and incorrect, like some kind of Schrödinger's Philosopher.

The Younger Dryas, care to address its date and Plato's accuracy?

As silly as it is that he's back to harping on Plato when he still hasn't given a single bit of evidence to link Atlantis to the menorah, this new obsession with the (end of the) Younger Dryas actually is something we should look at - because it only helps his case if Plato's writings were correct about the timeframe for Atlantis.

He's committing himself to an age of 11,500 for the destruction of Atlantis. He has fudged on the name, location, size, and shape - so firmly declaring a specific age is a sort of progress.

This refusal to discuss anything is getting boring. I'm almost thankful for being on OP's ignore list.

Yeah, he wasn't replying to me anyway before he put me on ignore so all this changes is that I don't have to watch him "respond" to my posts by misinterpreting a single offhand comment and deleting the rest. I figure I'll stay and watch, and every few pages post the summary of evidence like I did with post 828.

ETA: Funny how our super investigator couldn't figure out how to follow "Did you mean..."

You need to learn how this works. We are supposed to document every claim in thorough detail, with no leeway given for typos and no charity given for questionable wording. And then he still doesn't have to read our sources before dismissing them.

He, meanwhile, can demand we scrutinize his sources in detail no matter how irrelevant they are. If we don't then we are dismissed, if we do he puts us on ignore.

Plato is always correct, unless he contradicts KotA's claims.
