Dennis Kucinich loses primary

I wont tell the whole story, but I know somebody who was very close to him in the 2004 campaign and who was very disillusioned and believes that Kucinich is not at all the person he presents to the public.
You mean he's actually quite sane? ;)

I hope he runs as an independent, so that the fun can continue.

What a fruitcake.

I don't agree with him on much, but I've always had a soft spot for Kucinich. I am a bit sad to hear from Ben Burch that he perhaps wasn't as forthright and genuine as he always seemed to me.

Crazy or not, he always struck me as someone who spoke his mind and was willing to criticize his own party when he thought it was called for. I'd say the comparison to Ron Paul is apt. Both are people I would never support for President, but I like having a couple people like them in the House of Representatives.

I wish I could tell you the story, but if I did the person who told it would be obvious if I did and I promised not to.

But I can tell you that what I heard eliminated Kucinich in the 2008 primary for me.

Wait. Do you mean he's not really a vegan?

That would be a Double-naught spy.

I wonder if I will ever get too old to laugh at that joke.

Maybe it's his sense of humor. That goes a long way with intelligent women.

Yes. It often does.
But if his sense of humor is so good that this particular 30-year-old hottie accepted the proposal of this particular 60-year-old man, then he's ready to take over the Tonight Show.

I don't see it, because independents won't want to vote for him. There's some speculation he might move to Washington state so he can be a carpetbagger, though.

Oh, I don't mean I want him to win, just to keep campaigning.

For better or worse, he was a victim of redistricting. He ran against another popular Democratic incumbent, and somebody had to lose. Frankly, I'm glad it was him. He is an embarassment waiting to happen.

I saw that "Mean Jean" Schmidt lost her primary as well. Some were saying it was redistricting, others were saying people had been waiting for a viable alternative.

A politician who is not what he pretends to be? I guess there's a first time for everything.
