Democrats Getting Desperate- going Ad Hominem

Making people pay something back into the system from which they benfit is not "detroying wealth."

The only thing wrong with the currentbtax system is that it places too much of the burden on people who are actually producing value for the benefit of those who simply collect the fruits of other people's labor, whether they have actually contributed to that process or not.

Democrats are like drug dealers. Seriously.

A drug dealer depends on getting people who are addicted his product. A drug addict provides the dealer with a reliable source of further business.

A Democrat depends on people who are addicted to government handouts. Those who receive these handouts are much more directly aware of what they are getting, and from whom, than the non-addicted taxpayer is of how much is being taken from him to pay for these handouts.

Each person who got a new car, subsidized by the “Cash for Clunkers” scam, is someone who is more likely to vote for these scammers.

What the scammers were counting on was that those of us who were not receiving these handouts would not take notice of what it was costing us. But they became arrogant, to the degree that they thought they could engage in a vast, obscene orgy of outrageous wasteful spending of taxpayer money, and not piss off the non-addicts among us who, in the shrinking economy, are finding it increasingly difficult to support ourselves on our rightfully-earned wages, without having to descend into the parasite class that depends on government handouts.

Logical, besides the premise being false, and thus the conclusion.

Wow. Just, wow. After what Obama and his accomplices have done to the U.S. economy, it's rather hypocritical, even for you, to attempt to level such an accusation against the Republicans. It will probably take decades, at least, to undo the damage that has been done in the last two years. Some of the damage may never be repaired.

Wow. Just, wow. After what 8 years of Bush administration left the Democrats to clean up, and after the last and only bipartisan legislation we saw was GWB and President Obama to be, hustle to legislate for a financial sector bailout and prevent a complete meltdown.

You have some nerve pretending everyone is too stupid to remember anything past the last two years.

Bob is claiming that Obama created the recession! LOL. He must really think people on this forum are stupid.

No, but buying up a bunch of perfectly fine automobiles, for more than their fair market value, and then destroying them, is destroying wealth. And the vast majority of Americans were forced to pay for this fraudulent scam, and got nothing at all in return for it.

This was not an instance of making people pay something back into a system from which they benefited; this is an instance of making people pay for a scam which did not benefit them at all, and which only further damaged an already unhealthy economy.

And those who you defend—the President and the Democratic members of Congress, are all guilty of this scam. In the private sector, such an outrageous fraudulent scam, and such a misuse of funds with which they were trusted, would make them all subject to criminal charges, and time in prison. If these were corporate executives, having carried out such a scam against the consumers, you would be the loudest voice demanding their prosecution as criminals. Because they did this under the color of government, you are their staunchest defender.

That's right, we're all out to get you. We're the scammers and you have fallen into our trap. Next we'll be making sure your grandmother doesn't die and improving the electric and water infrastructure so that you'll all really be hooked. That way you can't escape us by dying or anything.

Careful, the scammers are everywhere!

Meh. Easy to go negative when the GOPers can't find anybody but a bunch of whiney babies, religious whackadoodles, corporatist oligarchs, perverts and assorted nuts and flakes to run for office.

You forgot your usual reference to feces. Feeling OK?

You must be a Tea Party member, as suggested by your in depth understanding of national economics.

I suspect that the cost to the economy was considerably less than the cash giveaway from GWB not long before, but I dare you to go give your ranting speech to the autoworkers and see if they agree. Better bring your bodyguards too.

Why? Are you suggesting that autoworkers will use physical intimidation to silence criticism?

The cars went on to scrap yards and recyclers. We didn't just shoot them into space never to be seem again.

No need to read further.

Because the joke should be obvious at that point. If it wasn't....LOOK BEHIND YOU!

It's a big scary unwed mother! And she's voting for universal healthcare!

American politics would be funny if it weren't for the fact that this is about the most powerful country in the world....
