I like the second one. Set up the trebuchet like a trap, then when the deer comes along and touches that salt-lick, it gets flung 1000 yards.

Might not be high-quality meat after it lands, though.

I guess I'm the only true visionary and critical thinker here. Everyone else has missed the most important part of the story:

Deer Hunting with Howitzers would be a cool name for a band.

Deer Hunting with Horowitz? Eeeeehhhhh not so much.

Deer Hunting with Horowitz is the unpublished novel by Richard Braugtigan (sp?)...the sequal to Willard and the bowling trophies.
