Debunking fractional reserve conspiracies

Oh, and the signature is a joke. Do you think I should change it if people don't understand that? (not rhetorical)

Tippit has a problem understanding certain things. The difference between emotion and logic, statements that are not meant to be literal but instead convey a sarcastic attitude, concrete versus abstract... That sort of thing. It really gets boring once you figure out his mindset.

I patronise most people, unless that is, I am shown I am wrong, or given some other kind of insight by said person, I am generally disagreeable in this way.

So, you know you're unpleasant, but you don't think it's a problem?

Then I just don't want to have this conversation anymore.

You have a nice day.

You’re a quick learner! He won’t listen to people that aren’t sharing in the koolaide, will just badger you with his faux superiority.

That is probably wise.

Very good day to you too!

Oh goodness Sceptic-PK, you and Tippit have been slammed so many times by me and others here on this forum it is hardly any fun any more.

You can debate, you can have conversations, or you can do something between the two. It is too bad about 3point14, it looked like it was promising to do a bit of both. Oh well, back to lurking.

Book - online chapter

So, I'm wondering if somebody knows of any good source for critical information on this subject?

The first chapter of the book "What Went Wrong with Economics" is all about our monetary system - you can read it for free, at scribd(dot)com - just search for the title.

Yes, but do you have any evidence of that?
I take it you don't need proof that the people's gold was taken off them in the 1930s. Nor would you need evidence of the extent of the government's (especially the tax man) involvement in your bank account.

So you must want me to prove that there is a conspiracy behind it all. Well there isn't. Politicians as a rule believe in bigger government and more power over the people and that is something I won't provide evidence for.
