I have no idea what soothsayers you have been hearing, but the bottom line is that the population of the developed world cannot sustain itself. It is dying out.

I wish to change that.

Then you might have to reform socialism as we know it. For one thing, retirement paid by the government mean that you don't have to make a lot of children in order to maintain a solid pension, while this is how you retire in the undeveloped world. In addition, women can provide for themselves here, so they don't need to tie themselves to a husband and family in order to maintain a decent living. They still do in vast parts of the undeveloped world.

However, I still don't think it is a problem of imminent concern.
