I can't believe that actually is the student's teacher defending her.
This speech was done at a College campus. She engaged someone in open debate. there is no Coddling. If she was "manipulated" to answer in a way she didn't intend, that is her fault. Certainly it was clear that she was agitated and put on the defensive. That in those situations, one tends to lash out. But that should be a good lesson for her, not a pat on the head coddling. That's insulting and condescending to the student. Teacher, treat her like the adult you are supposed to be educating.


I hope, if she is the moral, peace loving person the teacher claims her to be, she will learn something of herself in this experience. To show how one can easily turn to a statement of hate and perhaps reconsider why she defensively agreed to the rounding up of Jews.
