So, with roughly ninety minutes till the polls close, voter turnout to the election of the Danish representatives to the European Parliament is hovering around US levels. The EP has never quite captured the Danes' interest, even though its influence on Danish law is huge. Plus, it's raining.
Low turnout could decide the other poll today - a change to the constitution that would make the oldest child of any given king/queen heir to the throne, regardless of gender. (A theoretical question at this point, and only relevant to reinforce the royalists' position in the long term.)
In this process, conservative forces have been quite openly trying to push buttons of progressive voters. In doing so, they may have set themselves up for a backlash. This government's until now above average tacticians may be starting to falter. At least I hope so.
That said, the outcome is uncertain. It's within the exit polls' margin of error.
More info.
