We'll have to agree to disagree on that one. I don't think there's anything that says football players are any smarter than baseball players by any means. Baseball is an extremely intricate sport with a lot of the strategy on a pitch to pitch basis. Catchers and pitchers specifically have to have a plan and execute on every pitch. Football and baseball are a lot alike in that way, but I'm going off topic in my own thread.

So you're dumb enough to play a sport that gives you brain damage, but that somehow doesn't make you dumb? I guess I'm not sure in what way you mean that. I don't think there are a lot of baseball players who have run for the senate after playing. There might be, but off the top of my head I can't think of a single one.

Curt Schilling is different on the grounds that he's already proven he can't run a company, and he's a bit of a whiny baby about the whole thing. He's a racist moron that I'm pretty sure got fired recently.

His claims that the Dems are anti Israel are totally bogus to begin with,but then Schilling really turns on the stupid.
IMHO the Bay State GOP will learn from the Trump experience,and takes whatever steps necessary to see that Schilling never gets near the senatorial nomination.
BTW,what has Schilling done since h retired except make a fool of himself on a baseball commentator, and launch unsuccessful computer game companies?

That is because demogogues like Trump have always been bad news for the Jews.
And the Anti Semitism Rampant in the alt.right movement has also gotten a lot of coverage in Jewish media, since Bannon, who is pretty much calling the shots in Trump's campaign,is a major force in the alt.right.

I remember when trading Schilling away was once consdiered a bad thing in Philadelphia.

I've never thought about it before, but most team sports require players to develop a strategy and work with teammates to execute it; baseball players only need to hit the ball, catch the ball and run.

The pitcher and catcher need to have signs to know what they are doing. The fielders also like to know what's being thrown so they can react. Batters take signals from the coach in various strategic situations. Runners are coached by the base coaches. Depending on the situation, game score and inning different strategies are used. In bunt situation fielders have different strategies to handle it.

You're right, you never thought about if before.
