Conspiracy theorists who come through the JREF forums often amaze me with their lack of understanding of what this community is all about. These misunderstandings fall into three categories:
1. Those who automatically assume that we are sheeple who only believe what we're told
2. Those who automatically assume we are government shills
3. Those who present their case about the conspiracy theory by simply stating unfounded conclusions over and over again
Just who do you think we are, conspiracy theorists? Have you ever gone beyond this particular forum to see what else is going on here? How much passive acceptance of ideas and pandering to the "government" do you see?
And what is it with people like Heiwa, who state over and over again what their beliefs are and expect us to simply accept it as a universal truth? Do you guys understand that this is a community of skeptics? Do you know what skepticism is?
When you come here, we will expect some form of support to your ideas. If not evidence, then at least some smattering of thought that went into forming the idea. Instead all we get are agenda-driven conclusions and parroting of claims from questionable sources.
Remember The X Files? Perhaps you should consider why stories about conspiracy theories were lumped in with those about ghosts and aliens and succubi. They are all extraordinary claims that lack evidence, that most people think are nonsense.
If I'm wrong here, then educate me, please.
