Cryptomundo Incorporated formed

No more mumbles for Cryptomumble. Facebook comment on the end of cryptomundo sums it up pretty well...

A few things for me have ruined the experience. First of all if the blog had not been Loren dominated for so long and had included regular posts by John, Rick and yourself from the begining it would have been great. Secondly the intro of other unknown bloggers, especially the guy who goes on about boderline sci fi movies etc. That has nothing to do... See More with unknown animals and is forcing the agenda. I like crypto stuff, I'm not a trekky. Lastly and most importantly is the censorship which led me to stop being a daily visitor. It was almost an image protection thing going on with Lorens posts and the comments he allowed and didn't. Having the luxury to edit your blogs as people find mistakes and lack of clarity is nice but instead of publicly attacking just admit you made a mistake. Also the way Loren used the blog to whip up his followers in to a frenzy to attack people like Ben Radford was completely unproffesional no matter what believers feel about skeptics etc. I stopped visiting when I realized what it was all about with him, had a little hope when you bought the site but then my interest died away when he continued with his antics and the new bloggers were not really saying anything that interested me. I wish you all the best for the future though and hope you can respect the honesty.

No more delete button for you.

If I didn't know any better, I'd guess that as a collective whole the entire field of Popular Bigfooting™ has about $1.98 to its name. Every time we turn around it seems somebody is confessing their inability to continue in the field because they had to buy new batteries for their Maglight™ and it just 'killed them' financially until next month. It's so un*******believable.

I'm not complaining BTW. I mostly just try to point out the absurd, dishonest and truly funny idiocy that abounds out there in BigfootLand (if not JREFLand too). Honestly, 98.6% of my present day interest in Bigfoot is simply watching the train wreck...and it is a train wreck.

An ad shown right now on the site is creepy. Your kid will be a cryptid with gumball eyes.

I'm cynical enough about the whole operation to wonder if this isn't just another round of blegging, this time by Woolheater instead of Coleman.

I thought the same thing. But, the fact that Craig Woolheater resigned from the TBRC and the next day he says Cryptomundo is dead and dying is suspect enough.

Then I get Emails from Ex and Current TBRC members saying that there were misappropriation of TBRC funds at the bottom of this all I can say is typical BS from such an organization such as this.

Its really sad........

Cryptomundo is shutting down. New owner Craig Woolheater announced that Loren Coleman is unhappy with changes and the blog is losing money. Craig has also resigned from Texas Bigfoot Research Conservancy (TBRC). Some donations are coming in but obviously the writing is on the wall.

That page is a 404 now - someone stole the wall...

I thought the same thing, the fact that Craig Woolheater resigned from TBRC, and Loren Coleman has not, may be a sign that it is more personal or philosophical, rather than financial.

Although both are still listed on the TBRC website, Loren did not issue his resignation, as far as I know.

Then you need go read cryptomundo where Craig said he resigned.
He also put it on the mellissa Hovey forum.

Nevermind. Woolheater got donations and advice and so the blog continues.

The Readers Breathe New Life Into Cryptomundo

The readers have responded! You apparently don’t want that to happen.

Donations came in from the readers, enough that past due bills can be paid and the next month’s hosting fees are partially paid.

I appreciate this immensely.

We will re-focus our attention on cryptozoology.

Hmmm... Looks like Cryptomundo is back up!

In fact, I'm seeing the following hopeful message:

"I recently posted about the troubling prospect of having to shut down Cryptomundo.

The readers have responded! You apparently don’t want that to happen.

Thanks to the readers of Cryptomundo, many great ideas were brought forth."

I should like to do what little I can to help along this most useful scientific resource. In this case we borrow an old school money-making scheme, but add a contemporary twist.

Find a pathetic, sickly, deaths-door dog with a bad case of mange. Position the muzzle of a .44 magnum revolver next to its head. Photograph the scene and caption it "Donate now, or the Chupacabra gets it."

Someone's learned from Oral Roberts:
"If you don't send me a million bucks, God's gonna call me home! Please give! GIVE until it hurts!!!"

I enjoy playing a game in which I try and decipher Harry's asterisks. I always imagine it's something really cololurful and fun he's saying. Let's see, thirteen letters, right?

They truly are a bunch of shameless...

...blunderbusses?

...bonnyclabbers?

...boddhisattvas?

...lowerclassmen?

...lollapaloozas?

...lexicologists?

...palindromists?

...perambulators?

...pornographers?

...totalitarians?

...transvestites?

...troublemakers?

...uselessnesses?

...zoosporangium?

Oh, I bet it's in there somewhere!

Is Cryptomumble really back up? I would say 95% of the time it is not. I would attempt to sign in and give Loren something to delete, but I don't have that kind of patience for irrelevant do-nothings. Call me when a crypto-dork makes a single contribution to the science of biology and zoology, and I'll find something clever to say.

Is Loren Coleman really no longer a part of Cryptomundo? I noticed that there are no longer any postings by him. Then I saw this on his bio page at Cryptomundo...

Loren Coleman's daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013.

Was I the last to know that he's gone?

Now it's 2014.

Cryptomundo takes an interesting story about snapping turtle species splitting and spins a lie for the feeble-minded cryptozoologists.

Two New Snapping Turtle Species Named starts out with the brilliant Adam Davies comment...

"A great story about how there are still new creatures to be discovered."

Guess what Adam, no new creature was discovered. But you know your readers perfectly and that's how you roll, eh?
