Crop circle debunking help needed

The parts of your post that I have bolded are questions I have asked in various discussions I have had on crop circles. I, too, have searched for the approx. number of circles that have been created. It seems like you would have to have a lot of underground teams to do all of these circles but there are not enough admissions to cover all of the events. It seems like more people would talk with friends, especially with a few beers involved. But so far there have been too few admissions for the many that have been reported and photographed.

uh yeah, its funny how often people don't publically talk about when they've broken the law, even after a few beers
;)

I just discovered something through my own scientific study. Aliens don't visit farmers with guns.

Also, Aliens don't have the technology to make patterns in bare earth, so their machinery is not as advanced as say a rotivator
:D

I thought Stray cat showed a very large pattern in the US mostly on bare earth. Farmers don't guard bare earth.

When you do something in secret, jakesteele, do you go out and announce it to the world the next day?

And why the plural, teams?

You can presume that to be true, but you can't prove it ('it' being your null hypothesis). Best off going out to look for evidence to falsify it, chuck. An alien visiting a farmer with a gun would suffice. ;)

How scientific was your study?

"Aliens don't visit" would have been the conclusion.
It matters not one jot if the farmer has a gun or not.

One of the sillier arguments for alien or supernatural explanations for crop-circles is the notion of armed farmers guarding their fields during the night. Farmers have better things to do with their nights than run around with a shotgun. Such as sleeping to be ready for the hard daily work on a farm. While a crop circle will cause some yield loss to a farmer, they are not likely to loose any sleep over it, literally or otherwise.

I also found that in the UK, they don't visit crops when there are restrictions on movement in the countryside due to a Foot and Mouth disease outbreak.

I wonder what the future of crop-circle type expressions will yield?
Creative use of herbicides?
How about sneaking into a corn field after the seed is planted, and replacing some of the corn seed with some other monocot, in a design?
Or, working from a tethered hot air balloon?
How about melting snow in strange patterns?

The aliens need to update their art for 2012.

Snow Circles have been done.

You're wrong. I personally witnessed farmers around here draw guns on mexicans stealing silverqueen. They don't situp all night. Because they haven't had nightly violations. If there crop was known to be trespassed at the rate of Englands, let's just say there would be alot less circlemakers.

Find the investigative TV show "The Truth Behind Crop Circles" It might even be on youtube.

If large grain fields were seen as potential advertizing space, maybe the farmers could profit from the artistic destruction of part of their crop?
Maybe spell out the name of the seed company, or the fertilizer manufacturer?
Farmers used to get a few bucks to have adds on their barn roofs, if they faced a highway.

Maybe this is already being done. I'm pretty slow to catch on.
Imagine "Rick Santorum for President" spelled out in immaculate wheat fields.
I'm guessing it would get media attention. Appropriate denials would follow, with a light-hearted nature.

I disgust me.
