Criticizing donations

MM is young and enthusiastic, and therefore headstrong at times.

Alas, Zep, you are probably correct, and therefore, it's even sadder.

For it seems that for MM "enthusiastic idealist", is "enthusiastic at blaming the US for everything" and "idealist" means "gainst the current situation no matter what it is, becuase it isn't perfect so it's not worth a damn."

I can't see MM as a nihilist - he seems usually too upbeat for that. Everyone when young questions the status quo and wants to change the world because it isn't ideal. I sure did! Still do now, actually.

If it is worthy of note, I too was somewhat anti-US for everything in my protesting youth. To me then, the US stood for everything in the world that was too rich, too decadent, and too imperialistic in the world. Subsequent experiences, especially world travel, have since greatly modified and ameliorated my views on that subject. But it can still be a touchy one.
