Creationism: The Facts

1.) Whenever a Creationist says "there's no evidence for {whatever}" they are completely wrong.
2.) The evidence that most Creationists would accept as evidence of evolution (a snail giving birth to a walrus) would actually falsify evolution.
3.) While Creationists all claim that hominid fossils are either "fully ape" or "fully human" they can't come to a consensus as to which fossils should be classified as which.
4.) While some Creationists will deny or claim skepticism about old-Earth evidences, some will state that entities like the U.S. Geological Survey are out and out lying about things like magnetic striping on the Altantic sea floor.

Actually I think you've got a good idea. Since, apart from the fact that it's called "Creationism" they don't actually have any facts, we should put together a list of facts about Creationism. Here's one more.

5.) Whenever a Creationist posts a list of hominid fossils which supposedly are problematic and you're not familiar enough to rebut them from memory, do a Google search for the most obscure and you'll likely find a dozen sites debunking the very list they posted.
 
6.) An actor from Growing Pains knows more about biology than all the biologists on earth, put together.
 
8)If you don't understand something say it is impossible therefore "Goddidit".
 
For every creationist, there is an equal yet opposite creationist.

E.g:

The Earth is young. / No, it's as old as scientists say. / No, it's much older (that's Hindu creationism, if you're wondering).

Yahweh did it. / Allah did it. / Vishnu did it.

The fossil record was laid down in the Flood. / The fossils record was created in the beginning. / The fossil record was laid down after the Flood.

Archaeopteryx has the anatomy of a modern bird. / Archaeopteryx is a dinosaur to which a hoaxer added feathers.

Bacteria don't evolve antibiotic resistance. / Yes they do, but that's just microevolution, not macroevolution.

The evolution of the horse is an EVIL LIE. / Yes, horses evolved, but that's just macroevolution, not megaevolution.

Dinosaurs never existed. / Dinosaurs are still roaming the Earth.

Evolution is unfalsifiable, hence unscientific. / Evolution has been proved false.
 
Evolution from one species to another is impossible. / Noah only took a small number of kinds on the Ark, and they evolved into all the species we now see within historical times.
 
I see some of you are taking the "Creationist facts" tack as opposed to my "facts about Creationists" tack. ;)

- Most Creationists are simply ignorant of the evidences supporting evolution. Those "in your face" Creationists are the ones who embrace lies/distortions/equivocation/etc. and you're not likely to make any headway with them.

Yeah I noticed that too. The problem is that creationism itself doesn't have many "facts" (as opposed to facts--without irony quotes). It's just a bunch of "evolution can't be true because [insert strawman here]."
 
Evolution is powerful enough to change the course of Creationist thinking. But, Creationism has not been powerful enough to change Evolutionary thinking.

There is no such thing as "Applied Creationism". (at least not yet)
 
Creationism is true, because that is what the bible says.

We know the Bible is true, because God says so.

We know God is true, because the Bible says so.

Creationism is true, because that is what the bible says...
 
Life is impossible.






Actually, that isn't a claim I've actually seen them make, but it would be an inevitable consequence if their claims about the second law of thermodynamics were true.
