It was reported that one of the defendants complained that the ruling smelled bad, at which point the judge said, "Not for long".

One of the men wanted to marry her, but she refused, Jahangir said. They mutilated her "to set an example," he said.

The judge is just setting an example.

This kind of case is the reason I think a society should be more humane than any of it's individuals. I'm intellectually against any kind of corporal punishment, death sentences and life sentences. However, the animal in me is extremely satisfied with this ruling.

A court in Lahore, Pakistan, has ordered that two men have their noses and ears chopped off, after the two were convicted of doing the same to a young woman.

The woman and her family had rejected an offer of marriage from Sher Mohammed, the officer who investigated the case said.

A very graphic punishment. I am not to happy with the state actually performing the act, but I am happy that the state told the criminals that it will perform the act. Let them worry and panic for a bit.

I sometimes apologize for disagreeing - when I have the sense the other person has the opinion they have legitimately. And for this type I sometimes add "and I truly hope you will never be in a situation that will force you to change your mind on it."

A perfectly good punishment, I agree 100% with this punishment in this situation.

The kind of pampering that western countries would have given to these brutes would make me feel sick.
