For the record, genetic shift influenza viruses (vs genetic drift) are well known to occur naturally. It will be interesting to see what the research turns up on the evolution of this particular strain, but only because they don't yet have the story.

Influenza virus enters a cell and splits into 9 segments. The segments are copied then recombine before exiting the cell. That means when 2 or more strains infect a single cell, natural genetic mixing occurs.

And as for having parts of bird flu, swine flu and human flu, that also is not unusual. The 'bird' flu they speak of is not some genetic fragment only found in the HPAI H5N1 that is worrying everyone. Bird flu is common all over the planet. And you find people, poultry, ducks, and pigs together all over the world. All of which frequently share influenza strains.

Well, whomever was in charge for this latest conspiracy really dropped the ball. Why would they allow it to be leaked this early? With only 80 deaths? If I was in charge (and I'm not saying I'm not) (and I'm not saying that I am.....)
