Could You Please Dial The Interweb For Me, Mr. Biden?

I hear there's this guy willing to give mind readers a million US dollars if they can actually do it.
That's quite a stretch you're making there

That said, you are not simply using this thread to point out left-wing hypocrisy. You are very clearly using this Biden gaffe to cast doubt on his competence in the job.

My mother is about 15 years older than Biden, and the last person you would call knowledgeable about the interweb, and yet she's not so out of touch that she refers to a website's "number."

And she is not first in line to succeed the president.

What else does that imply?

Why, obviously, nothing at all! Just that conversative mothers are so dear and cute, just like Biden, and thus should be elected vice president! What, you can't "get" it? :D

I don't think Biden assumed cuteness until after the hair plugs.

Oh, I dunno, maybe just that Vice-President Joe "Just a Regular Guy" Biden should be a little more in touch with the everyday world than an 81-year-old woman living in a retirement community.

Looks like this claim here:

Is wrong.

Moving on.

I can see getting the term "website address" getting mixed up with "website number". I doubt that most people would even know enough to call it a "URL", much less what it actually stands for.

Oh, I dunno, maybe just that Vice-President Joe "Just a Regular Guy" Biden should be a little more in touch with the everyday world than an 81-year-old woman living in a retirement community.

But maybe we should cut him some slack. Just like we did President George H. W. Bush when he was supposedly "amazed" at supermarket scanner technology.

Not.

You seem to be honestly confused. You think it is a bad thing, an unfair thing, when Bush is called 'out of touch' and ridiculed for sounding like an idiot, but when Biden does the exact same thing, it is worrying that someone 'first in line to succeed the president' is this moronic. You should try and decide what your actual position is.

Incidently, Do I need to remind you that if any politician milked the 'just an regular guy' slogan, it was the Republican nominee of 2000 and 2004?

Nope. Google "sauce goose gander" for an explanation.

Yes, yes; an eye for an eye and all that…it's not a subtle “point” you make. You made fun of my President’s speaking deficiencies so I’ll make fun of your………oh yeah; well, your VP can’t talk too good sometimes; so there!

Bush was a train wreck of a speaker and Biden’s not exactly eloquent either. Does that about cover it…anything a bit more substantive about which to gripe?

Do you people ever actually REVIEW what you spout with a critical eye?
Or is shooting from the hip target a Democrat trait?

...categorist's word choices bolded by PA...

Though I'm not a Democrat, my interest is stirred. Pray tell, expound on your insight...and please tell me it concerns more than picking nits over the punctuation, spelling, or grammar of a web post, at the very least.

"shooting from the hip target"? I don't know what shooting you do, buddy, but I can't think of many professionals that would want a target on their hips.

Ah, so rwguinn is a stripper in disguise.

That explains... well, not much really. :)
You DO NOT want to envision that. Unless you're into nightmares...:D
My point was simply this:
Bush was a lousy speaker. He let his mouth get ahead of his brain quite frequently, and he doesn't have the vocabulary of the sophisticated set, whomever they are.
He isn't stupid, or he'd never have made it that far.
Biden is a lousy speaker. His mouth gets ahead of his brain fairly frequently. He has an immense vocabulary.
He, also, is not stupid.
Yet it is OK to Ad Hom against Bush, because we hate him.
It is not OK to Ad Hom Biden, 'cuz we love him.
See any difference?

Not really, as it's BPSCG that's the one that was suggesting that it was badwrong to "Ad Hom", as you put it, against Bush (or at least, that's how I read him, I may be wrong). No one's been up in arms about using an "Ad Hom" against Joe Biden, as far as I know. It's just that the one thing to "Ad Hom" against him is pretty dang minor, compared to nearly 8 years of Bushisms. And "literally dropkick us out of recession" is pretty minor too, since that's a very common misuse of the word "literally".
