Could you pass a US citizenship test?

The colonists fought the British because they stated in their houses?

I don't even understand that!

1774–1775: Intolerable Acts and the Quebec Act

The British government responded by passing several Acts which came to be known as the Intolerable Acts, which further darkened colonial opinion towards the British. They consisted of four laws enacted by the British parliament.[41] The first was the Massachusetts Government Act which altered the Massachusetts charter and restricted town meetings. The second act was the Administration of Justice Act which ordered that all British soldiers to be tried were to be arraigned in Britain, not in the colonies. The third Act was the Boston Port Act, which closed the port of Boston until the British had been compensated for the tea lost in the Boston Tea Party. The fourth Act was the Quartering Act of 1774, which allowed royal governors to house British troops in the homes of citizens without requiring permission of the owner.[42]

The Quartering Act of 1774 was one of four laws which were considered "Intolerable" by the colonists and led to revolution. It "allowed royal governors to house British troops in the homes of citizens without requiring permission of the owner". People didn't like to be forced to take on boarders in their homes.

On the British citizenship test, there seems to be an unusual amount of trivia, too. Identifying the name of the gent who broke the first 4 minute mile hardly seems relavent to citizenship.

Trick question, it was a lady. Her Majesty Queen Victoria, in fact. She developed powerful legs from her athletic exploits as Jack the Ripper. In her later years she could squeeze a horse to death while riding it, and frequently did.

Has no-one posted the British citizenship test yet?

"You have reached 17 of 24 points, (70.83%) You FAILED the Test!"

Harsh. In my defense, I'm not British.

Here's the one I took, but it seems that there are others:

22of 24, or 91%. Missed a flower question and guessed wrongly about the minimum age of an MP. But i read a lot of British fiction, biography, and history.

I only got 14/30.

To be fair, that was on the Czech test, and I don’t speak Czech. Sorry Klimax, looks like you will have to live without my company for a while.
