Nope. It was a really painful video and left me disgusted, but I managed to watch all of it. The whole video was about a (sober, well-mannered, thoughtful, handsome and fit) guy wanting extra protection against potential pregnancy before having sex with (presumably intoxicated) Watson. I'll leave it your imagination why that might be so. But I was left confused why Watson would want to make this embarrassing (to her) incident public. She was the total jerk in that situation, and he was the responsible one, even if maybe ruining the heat of the moment.
If there's one thing I've learned about Rebecca Watson, it's that she does love her some heat of the moment.
I don't think I've ever seen her speak in public where she wasn't dramatizing something.
It probably causes her some amount of frustration, if not outright existential angst, when someone busts her groove, or interrupts her internal narrative of what is going on.
Mr. One Night Stand disrupts her dramatic one night stand story? Unacceptable. And unresolved! Probably the best (only?) way she knows to resolve the story is to tell a new story, present a new drama, that gives her a sense of closure on the old one.
My theory is that she's not so much a skeptic, as she is a drama whore who likes to tell herself and others stories in the "skeptical" genre.
