I did read Honor Bound, which was ghost written by someone else - Andrew Gumbel - presumably to insert a human touch. I haven't read the other as I don't speak Italian.

Meredith's phone pinged at a distant tower at 22:15 which serviced Lana's garden (where the phone was found). Looking at the map the closest tower to Rudy's apartment is the same one that services the cottage. My guess is Rudy had the phone at his apartment and after he changed and cleaned off he fiddled with it for a minute, realized it was too hot, and ran up north of the city to ditch it in the forest that turned out to be Lana's garden.

Like every other theory involving Rudy, it's simple and straight forward and well supported.

It would be better to read the defence brief to the Supreme Court, the one he was presenting at that news conference - you know, the one where - as even Sky News reports - he believes her to be innocent.

But why not cite Sky News. It helps you greatly with your spin. On the other side there is no need to spin that the pair are innocent.

The Piazza Lupattelli cell tower is the closest to Meredith's cottage and serviced most of the calls there, and is also the closest to Rudy's, so your cite proves nothing. I would be interested in a complete cell log of Meredith's phone though and any info on testing done near Rudy's apartment.

If Rudy went home with the phones (and he lived near Raff, not Amanda) to fiddle about with them, then perhaps you have a theory as to why he didn't remove the SIM card and/or batteries, if he is that calculating, and such a professional thief. It is what pickpockets do.

But the Italian said today that he can only vouch for the late evening.

He did not confirm that the two were together in the first part of the evening, around 8.30pm or 9pm, which is roughly the time they believe Ms Kercher was killed.

Sollecito also said Knox had been caught in a lie: the American said she had sent a text message from Sollecito's house the night of the murder but the judges who convicted the pair said her phone's signal showed she was not at Sollecito's house.

Wow she was killed by the british birds which is always been my theory.

10:13 pm a GPRS internet connection is recorded, lasting 9 seconds and to the Ip address 10.205.46.41, that could be related to an incoming multimedia message [MMS], which does not require human interaction, or to an access to the INTERNET, but with a duration, 9 seconds, too short to allow the use of any service, this could be explained by an involuntary connection or by a sudden interruption.

It is highly unlikely that Meredith's phone was at the cottage at that time since the call was not handled by the extremely close Piazza Lupatelli antenna but by the distant Wind cell tower 30064.

It's quite clear that Rudy was long gone at 10:13. Probably close to the gate in the city wall near his apartment. Right before he dumped the phones.

Wrong again. The basis of the defence appeal was this - what did the evidence claimed to be incriminating against Amanda have to do with Raffaele?

Apparently when looked at that way, the evidence against both falls apart and they were both acquitted.

Sure, it's a hack, but the salient point is, ever since his early statement, circa 5/6th November 2007, when he retracted his earlier statement as being a 'crock of ****' and stated that Amanda had asked him to lie for her Raff has never supplied Amanda with an alibi in the eight years since.

Seems he was there a few minutes before Meredith arrived picking up glass to put on top of the clothes he tossed to make it look like a staged break in. When the police would come they would see it and think the cottage residents had staged it for insurance money.

When Meredith returned he was on the toilet. He came out at 9:12 and asked for a BJ and she wouldn't give it so he killed her. Then he went and had some after murder drink in this case apricot juice. He washed off his pants and stepped on the mat with his watery bloody foot and made sure to make the big toe "bleed" to look more like Raf's toe which he noted the year before at the beach.
