:D

Couldn't resist. Apologies.

By the way, did you know that the state, the cops, and the family and their lawyers are trying to put up an impostor as "DeeDee" and TheL8Elvis thinks that's not so crazy?

So you can't offer a cogent reason BDLR wouldn't allow witness 8 to be video recorded, and you've just made up a position for me out of thin air.

I told you a cogent reason not to allow her to be video taped. A bunch of racist doxers have already doxed two young women who they only THOUGHT was DeeDee. And you can ask a couple of DAs in Texas what racists are capable of. I think the safety of a state's witness would count as a pretty compelling reason. I also told you that either of us playing lawyer is pretty silly. From my limited experience with this, there are usually several rules in place that cover overlapping situations, and there should be case law concerning when these rules conflict with each other. O'Mara didn't cite any case law and neither did the State. All I can judge is that BDLR openly mocked O'Mara's motion and treated it like a big joke. Either it really is a big joke or he'll get reamed by the judge for taking it so lightly. Let's see what happens?

But I'm glad to see that you don't think there are two Witness 8s and that the state is not perpetrating some giant conspiracy and hoax against George. You were being a little too coy about calling that bit of crazy, "crazy".

If that was the fear, why didn't BDLR file a response when he got the notification the deposition would be recorded ?

And what tragic events happened to these women ? Are they dead ? Can you point out what illegal activities occured ?

Why is witness 8 the only witness in need of all this protection ? You've previously implied her testimony is almost irrelevant.

How exactly is MOM recording her testimony somehow unleashing the evil Internet doxxers on her ?

Again, MOM had no reason to cite case law. He cited the rules.

BDLR did an awesome job of ignoring the entire issue in his response, didn't he ?

We will. But its more fun to make an educated guess first.

But I'm glad to see that you don't think there are two Witness 8s and that the state is not perpetrating some giant conspiracy and hoax against George. You were being a little too coy about calling that bit of crazy, "crazy".

I was just offering to explain it to you. I don't recall saying I believed any of it.

That's really funny, considering that George is spending something like $7,000 a month on "security" when nothing tragic has happened to him yet, has it? So perhaps you don't need to wait for something terrible to happen before you take threats seriously?

But you'll have to explain why the Conservative Treehouse folks spend all of their time focusing on this girl and express so much anger about her. I don't think her testimony is the crux of the case, but that doesn't mean she isn't in danger, does it? Those people are nuts. THEY THINK SHE'S A FRAUD!

How exactly is MOM recording her testimony somehow unleashing the evil Internet doxxers on her ?

I think there's been some overlap between O'Mara and his "minions".

Again, MOM had no reason to cite case law. He cited the rules.

He did. So either it's a non-issue or it's a serious one. BLDR seemed to treat it and O'Mara with a huge degree of mockery and contempt. Sounds like he's not concerned.

We will. But its more fun to make an educated guess first.

Hilighted the part we can't lay claim to.

I was just offering to explain it to you. I don't recall saying I believed any of it.

You also didn't disavow it. How about stating it cleanly? Do you concede that Witness 8 is the only Witness 8 and was the girl on the phone with the victim at the time he met up with George and that there's no conspiracy to create a hoax witness?

Regardless of what hiding GZ did or didn't do, BDLR called out MOM for lying about the Zimmermans indigence.

And it reads exactly like what you called me irrational for pointing it. It's clearly an accusation, and a thinly veiled threat.

The prosecution could have made these same allegations months ago and didn't. So to me, it's clearly de la Rionda calling O'Mara out for his histrionics and hypocrisy.

Either way, the evidence still plainly demonstrates Zimmerman hid money from his lawyer. He admitted it. I'm not even sure why you would dispute that.

That theory just doesn't fit the physical evidence. You need to explain the keychain flashlight, among other things.

Sure it does, because I didn't assign any geography to my scenario.

I don't deny the altercation could have began at or near the T. I don't believe it did, but it certainly might have. However, I find the location of the keychain quite a bit less significant than the location of the dead body.

Either way, Zimmerman's story doesn't line up with the facts.

Either he was untruthful about where the altercation began to hide the fact that he was following Martin, or he was untruthful about immediately being knocked to the ground* to hide the fact that the altercation wasn't quite as one-sided as he claims. Personally, I think it's a little of both.

*And no, I don't buy any of this "stumble/run" nonsense, so don't bother.

It simply goes to how scared was he. A reasonable person ( which teenagers are not ) who was not particularly scared probably would just turn the corner. Beyond that, it could possibly show that TM was not necessarily scared at all, but wanted to see what the "creepy guy" following him would do.

I don't disagree with that.

But regardless of his motivation or state of mind, Martin did run away from Zimmerman, and Zimmerman did follow him.

And ? There is no evidence GZ did anything that TM needed to defend himself from. So yes, he can feel threatened all he wants. That doesn't allow him to physically assault GZ.

The evidence has been provided and is taken directly from Zimmerman's own statements.

You may want to remain stubborn in your conviction that Martin had no reason to fear or feel threatened by Zimmerman, but I don't see the prosecution having a very difficult time making that case to a jury.

Here's another little nugget from George's interview. There are dozens of these little lies littered among the things he said. So people want to point to the picture taken by, I think, officer Wagner? The one where George has the bloody nose and a smear by his mouth.

Here's what he said:

I got up off of him because he stopped struggling and I thought he had just stopped struggling and then I holstered my weapon and I saw another flashlight and I said are you the police because I had blood all over my face and my eyes.

Ok, but is that true? Not if you look at the picture.

http://pjmedia.com/tatler/files/2012/12/zimmerman-color.jpg

That's before he was treated by the EMT, right? Before his blood was cleaned up? They wouldn't have left his nose bleeding like that.

So where's all the blood around his eyes? Looks perfectly clean to me. It's just yet another instance in which he exaggerates his injuries to make himself look more like a victim. At some point, they have to add up to deception, even for his ardent supporters, don't they?

Haha. No, just kidding.

In which case it was Martin who confronted Zimmerman, and then assaulted him.

Spin away johnny!

So if I don't make one claim it automatically means I'm making the opposite claim?

This desperation you have to twist people's words into an argument they didn't make so you can have something to rail against is very perplexing.

This is why you should always carry a pen and notebook with you at all times, so you can document every second while someone is assaulting you to counter internet super-sleuths.

You should probably contact Zimmerman's lawyers and share your crackerjack legal acumen.

Because for some reason, they seem hesitant to have an immunity hearing and just put their client on the stand and tell his perfectly plausible and factually-supported story.

And yet, according to you and others in this thread, they would have nothing to fear by doing so because all the evidence is on their side and any inconsistencies don't matter.

So clearly the lawyers are wrong.

It's almost as if you're willfully forgetting the last 5 times I've posted this.

Zimmerman: And I said, Hey man, I don’t have a problem. And he goes, No, now you have a problem. And he punched me in the nose. At that point I fell down, ah I tried to defend myself, he just started punching me in the face.

Singleton: Are you still standing at this point?
Zimmerman: No ma’am.
Singleton: OK.
Zimmerman: I fell to the ground when he punched me the first time.
Singleton: OK.
Zimmerman: It was dark. I didn’t even see him getting ready to punch me. As soon as he punched me, I fell backwards, um, into the grass, and then he grabbed, he was whaling on my head,

Sorry, buddy. That's what he told them. He doesn't get to call that hazy memory now. And you don't get to continue to pretend like I haven't posted that before. Several times.
That is at odds with the known facts how?????

It's rather breathtaking how for almost a year, all of the talk from George's supporters was how weak the case was and how Angela Corey was unethical for even bringing charges in the first place. And how at the first chance he got, O'Mara was going to file for immunity and how there was zero evidence, ZERO, that things didn't play out exactly how George said they did. How all of the witnesses, the physical evidence, and George's story lined up like dovetails in a nice piece of woodwork.

And suddenly once it's obvious they aren't having an immunity hearing, we're hearing how RISKY they are and how only a foolish defendant would ever undertake one.

Breathtaking.

Amazing, now you're claiming there may have been no confrontation at all?

It's clear at this point you dont understand that there are implications to the things you blather about.

And I see you still think your proof of guilt is Zimmerman not knowing exactly where he was standing when he was punched.

And LOL at Unabogie now debating freepers who aren't even here and whose whacktard theories nobody here even supports.

I guess no one can come up with any material inconsistencies in Zimmerman's stories like I asked for last night? Maybe Remirol can pop in again to once again display his complete ignorance of the facts of the case.

No, not exactly ironclad proof, but it's there none the less. They had their patio door open, and the heard the confrontation start at the Tee, and move down the sidewalk. That is contrary to the fight starting 50 feet away, or even starting south and moving north. And what they heard was arguing and scuffling.

And as I've said, if the fight did start at the T, then Zimmerman was untruthful about being knocked immediately to the ground.

Only if you focus on certain statements and ignore others, which not all of us feel is necessary.

I know that not everyone feels it's necessary to notice Zimmerman's many inconsistencies and contradictions. As long as he eventually tells a story that sort of fits the evidence, or one can be pieced together form his various versions, that's good enough.

The bottom line is, Zimmerman made these claims. That they are contradicted by later claims doesn't mean he gets a do-over.

When both he and witnesses 8 described the exchange of words they had. That could certainly sound like an argument.

All Zimmerman claims he said to Martin was "No".

How is answering a question with a single word response considered an argument?

Furthermore, Witness 12 said she saw the argument. So she saw Zimmerman say "No" to Martin and thought that was an argument?

And then when TM was on top of GZ telling him to "shut up" and GZ was trying to yell for help.

Witness 12 clearly notes the argument and the cries for help as two separate events:
...she looked out the sliding glass door and saw two men arguing... the men had moved further down the sidewalk... she then heard someone yelling for help...

And Witness 13 places the argument at the T:
...he heard what sounded like an argument, right in the area of the T-section of the walkway...

Both witnesses are unambiguously identifying the argument as a separate event from the cries for help.

Again, the witness evidence validates GZ story.

No, they don't.

Zimmerman has never once claimed there was an argument.

I guess he must have forgot from all the trauma.
