Conflict of interest?

Does the fact that Randy Scheunemann, John McCain's foriegn policy advisor is also a paid lobbyist for the country of Georgia represent a conflict of interest for McCain and his staff?

Everyone working for the government has a "conflict of interest" of some sort.

OK, there might be a few naive nuts out there who've been completely brainwashed into "selfless virtues of public service" (excuse me while I vomit) - but most people retain at least some trace of common sense and enlightened self-interest. Even McBama.

McCain also met with Oleg Deripaska. What do you think abou that? And to answer you question no it does not but McCain meeting with Oleg Deripaska does represent conflict of interest.

When it comes to foreign policy, the president works in the best interests of the US. As such, his/her advisers need to be working in the best interests of the US. It's hard to do that when the foreign policy adviser is a paid lobbyist for another country.
