erlando how do we measure chi? how long is a piece of string, I don't know, the measurable amount maybe what you can't do if you soak up sodium fluoride...

So.. You can't tell us what chi is. You can't tell us how to measure it. But you are certain that flouridated water does bad things to it. Right.

You don't even know how to measure a piece of string? Is this flouride's fault too?

To be honest I'm having a very hard time making any sense of your seemingly random ramblings.

P.S. If anyone would like to make an easy few mil, bottle and sell fluoridated water, and sell it in locales that don't fluoridate (obviously).

Or just put it in toothpaste. Do Hawaiians allow fluoride in toothpaste? (Just curious--if it were such a bad thing, you'd think they'd want to be consistent.)

One of the (many) problem's I'm having with this is that patent law only covers devices, processes, ect, and patents expire after a fixed time. Words and symbols would be covered by trademark and copyright law. Also, only individuals and organisations can register patents/trademarks, so it would be impossible for a word or symbol to be registered on behalf of an entire race.

In all fairness, there is a difference - you're not supposed to swallow toothpaste. I don't think there's any argument that putting fluoride directly on your teeth is a bad thing, what opponents tend to argue is that drinking glasses of it is not effective and potentially dangerous. Of course, the science doesn't support that point of view, but it is not at all inconsistent with fluoride in toothpaste. I can see that also appealing to opponenets of the nanny state - if fluoride is in toothpaste it is your choice to use it or not, while if it's in water, you're pretty much forced to have it whether you like it or not.
