...Alike this, how many of your durgs absorb fluid from GIT? Can this absorption of fluid cause intestine mucus to become thick & cause mucus blocks in intestines?

Cripes Kumar! I take glucophage XR myself, it's the time release polymers that absorb water in order to...guess what...release the drug over a period of time. The article itself says that these polymers are then excreted...not transformed into intestinal mucus. This drug works exactly the way it is designed to work and is a key player in the fight against diabetes.

I'm sure I'd much rather go blind and have my feet cut off than risk possible intestinal mucous blockage. (Is that even real? I'd never heard of it before)
