Heck, they don't even need to hire foreign mercenaries for that job. The average US High School graduate would probably fit the bill.

An age-old debunker argument:
"But that's too obvious! Why would they make it that obvious? Doesn't make any sense! Hahahaha CTer lolololol! sarcasm witty comics and dialogues"

You are, in turn, admitting that it's obvious.

"Why would the (OKC Bombing, 9/11, Wellstone crash, JFK assassination, etc.) be 'so' obvious? Doesn't make sense that it was that sloppy."

Well, I'm not sure dude, but you kind of just admitted that it was a sloppy/obvious job.

If your house got robbed, and you went downstairs to find your computer on and the robber's Facebook page on the screen, would you say "It can't be him -- that'd be too obvious!" and then make some witty comic in which you show him accidentally leaving his Facebook page open, implying that the very idea that he robbed your house is ridiculous?

Would you accuse relatives/friends who urged you to report him to the police of being "nuts" because they believed that a robber would actually be stupid enough to break into your house, steal stuff, and then leave their Facebook page on?

What a stupid burglar if he did not take that computer with him!

So, you really believe that criminals routinely go around deliberately leaving clues to their identities lying about?

What an interesting world you live in.

Psst, Horatius. The recent hilarious nonsense posted by one Rob Menard in the Freeloader on the Land thread is just begging for your awesome cartoon adaptation skills... seriously, it's a laff riot!

I second the emotion.

I'm just catching up on that.....I was away for the long weekend, and missed it in real-time!

Wait, so Horatius, you are actually claiming that the fact that there is evidence against them means that they're innocent? Can't you see how completely irrational this is?

And as for the folks who are ridiculing my "burgular" comparison, I humbly ask you to retract your oh-so-witty remarks after reading the following news story:
http://mashable.com/2009/09/17/facebook-robber-arrested/

And I never said anything about the deliberate leaving of clues -- I'll thank you not to put words in my mouth (and to, by the way, refrain from posting condescending filth). Ever heard of the old saying "There's no such thing as a perfect crime"?

Horatius, imagine that you're a defense attorney. The prosecutor has just presented their case, complete with fingerprints, witnesses, and a videotape. Is your response to their evidence going to be:

"Well, obviously my client is quite innocent because if they were guilty, they would not have left these clues!"

This attitude is something that is seen frequently here and I would call it one of the largest logical fallacies in mainstream conspiracy debunking. While ranting, I'll add that I really think it's sad that someone calls themselves a "conspiracy debunker". Why? Because by doing that, you've aligned yourself with one side and whenever an event happens, you are instantly lashing out at all "conspiracy viewpoints" before you even examine the evidence. One someone becomes a "debunker" they are no longer a "skeptic", as they have lost objectivity. They become just as silly as people who immediately announce with conviction that something is a conspiracy before any investigation of the facts is done on their part.
