Comey is a petty idiot

Figures.

See, my whole knowledge of this book comes from some pre-release articles, and what do those emphasize? Trump. Salacious details about Trump. Trump is a liar. Trump, Trump, Trump.

It's so ironic that this anti-Trump focus helps Trump so much.
Yeah pretty "funny" watching you rip it without having read it, not even knowing the scope. I don't mean to neener you because I think you're generally a thoughtful poster not prone to knee jerking. But you did cause some discomfort to my eye sockets last night.

And... You could be right that it helps Trump, but you don't know that.

How is a poster supposed to know if this criticism applies to them? And what it is they posted that you feel earns this criticism.

Your clearly reaching. “Obamacare” would be the clue. Didn’t see Romneycare anywhere.

Massachusetts health care reform
Because Mitt Romney was the governor of Massachusetts at the time, the law has colloquially been called Romneycare, a reference to the nicknaming of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act as "Obamacare".
(emphasis in the original)

the ACA had Obama's name on it, but is was a Mitt Romney policy.

For millions of people, Massachusetts Schedule HC is a yearly reminder of Romneycare.

When Romney ran for President, he was sometimes asked about the connection between Romneycare and the ACA. Romney would say Romneycare was right for Massachusetts but wrong for the country. When asked why, he'd say something that included the words "state" and "federal".

(If I even remembered the details of his explanation, I wouldn't want to pollute this fine subforum by quoting it here.)

Mitt Romney might still oppose the ACA, but he now accepts part of the blame/credit for it:

Mitt Romney said:

Comey, tiny man in a big body

“He said if there’s even a 1 percent chance my wife thinks that’s true, that’s terrible,” Comey recalled. “And I remember thinking, ‘How could your wife think there’s a 1 percent chance you were with prostitutes peeing on each other in Moscow?’ I’m a flawed human being, but there’s literally zero chance that my wife would think that was true.”

Comey's explanation for his infamous October 28th letter don't convince me for now, but still, what a difference in style between Comey and Trump:

Trump: the "slime ball" tweet posted earlier.

Comey to @nytimesbooks on what book he'd encourage Trump to read. "The United States Constitution isn’t a book, so I would pick 'The Road to Character,' by David Brooks."

On Friday morning, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway called the Comey book “a revisionist view of history” and accused the former FBI director of taking “unnecessary immature potshots.”

The irony ...

Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) said:
James Comey is a proven LEAKER & LIAR. Virtually everyone in Washington thought he should be fired for the terrible job he did-until he was, in fact, fired. He leaked CLASSIFIED information, for which he should be prosecuted. He lied to Congress under OATH. He is a weak and.....
....untruthful slime ball who was, as time has proven, a terrible Director of the FBI. His handling of the Crooked Hillary Clinton case, and the events surrounding it, will go down as one of the worst “botch jobs” of history. It was my great honor to fire James Comey!

Jesus, Comey is bringing Trump's wife into the conversation.

Despicable.

And if Comey had just done his job when they discovered Clinton's misconduct, there was plenty of time to for her to withdraw and the Democrats to enlist a candidate that was not despised by half the country.

and now the moron is pandering to the very people he screwed, the American public.

Where? The quotes I've seen indicated Trump brought up his own wife while discussing the peeing incident.

ETA: And once again I'm at least a post late.

It seems like the right is being triggered. Soon they will retreat into their safe spaces where they can cry 'Bu.. bu.. bu.. But her EMAILS!'

President Donald Trump, brought to you courtesy of Comey, didn't write the book.

It is hilarious tho that people are taking Comey's side for his clever hand size jokes and comparing his wife to Melania when he grossly mishandled the Clinton email investigation.
