College Girl's PowerPoint "Partner" Rating List

Many of her criteria seem to be taken out of the porn industry manual, foriegn accents included.

Just an observation.

I find it slightly worrying that she sees aggression (rather than, say, assertiveness) as a desirable quality, but maybe that's because I'm not an alpha male.

I keep seeing guys in other parts of the net referring to her as "ugly." I think that's interesting since the pics I've seen of her show her to be way out of my class.

Also, many are using that "S" word an awful lot. Aside from the implications of that word I do have issues with the insinuation of hyper promiscuity. Is a gal banging 13 guys in college really that exceptional anymore? Isn't that really the new norm?

Thirteen? That's all? ;)

Ditto. And some day she's going to act shocked that her alpha male cheated on her. (See Sandra Bullock, Halle Berry, etc, etc.)

My talk-radio/bar bull session stance on this has been that women enjoy aggressive behavior because they're narcissists: "He wants me sooooooo bad he can't control himself." Around half of all women, depending on the study, report having rape fantasies. (Don't get any ideas, Dale from accounting. Just because you're single, have a wall dedicated to Kaitlyn, and genuinely admire her as a person, does not mean she wants you to 'take her.' If you're VP of sales, engaged to a beautiful girl but view "Katie" strictly as a pump & dump, then aggressive behavior and a devil-may-care attitude might make for some interesting times in the supply closet. But remember Blake, this isn't the Theta Delt house at Dartmouth: "No" means "no.")

As for the "slutty" behavior there seems to be the perception that more people are having sex than are really having sex. This works to a man's advantage.

I think it's more that confidence and assertiveness are seen as strengths. Males judge each other by these qualities at least as much as women judge us by them.

doing 13 guys in four years is like being practically a virgin these days for the younger female generation.
Another item on Travis's list of absurdly unreal things said about women/dating/sex/romance/relationships

I'm skeptical of the accuracy of her reporting.
I get a kick out of the fact that every single penis was said to be either abnormally large or abnormally small. 13 tries and she kept missing the middle of the bell curve? Lacking numbers, her descriptions of their extremeness don't even offer a way to put them in order of HOW extreme they were; all we know is that they were all extreme!

I betcha that girl will be the same in a few years and she will regret having been marked for life
She isn't. Most people know nothing about her now, and most of those who do will forget soon.

Apparently your "common-sense maxim" also allows men who don't know her to discuss her breasts out loud in extremely crude terms.
Absolutely not!

I said, "... looked at ...", not, "Act like a total jerk in the presence of a young woman who can not help being the way she is."

It's one thing for a man to say to himself, "Mmm ... nice ...", and then go on about his own business. It is quite another to carry on with absolute disrespect and total disregard for the feelings of a woman.

"University student has sex with a few people, tells friends about it"

Also, water is still wet, the Pope is a bear and Generalissimo Franco will be starting the zombie revolution any day now. Seriously, how the hell can something as trivial and commonplace as this possibly get in the news? It's less newsworthy than those "Cat hitches ride on lorry" stories that pop up when there's absolutely nothing interesting happening anywhere to report on.

Anyways, like I said, doing 13 guys in four years is like being practically a virgin these days for the younger female generation. I thus find it inappropriate to throw out charges of "promiscuous" in whatever vulgar colloquialism that comes easiest to mind.
Which is actually why she was able to do such a thorough study. If she were really a slut, she would neither have time for it, nor would remember all the details.

I wonder if she is on Asperger spectrum -- this kind of obssessive compiling of basically useless lists is very much an AS trait.

Which does not excuse her being an idiot -- posting the list on Facebook.

The seven-minute Today Show segment1 has several photos of her. She is attractive.

Probably not, but just to make sure the details are correct - it was 3 years: sophomore year through senior year.

. . . . . . . . . .
1) is having poor judgement in sending a message to one's friends reason enough to have one's face and name appear in a national newscast?
Why is that listed as 1)? She was wayyyyy past poor judgment by getting so drunk she blacked out, and by having the idea, and by writing the presentation, not just by sending it out. Assuming she actually didn't want people to see it, which I doubt.

If she had only been a little funnier and a little cruder about it, she could have been the female Tucker Max. Tucker Max wouldn't have said "I never meant for people to see that" - hell, half the stories he tells are made up.

Ugh, nope. You're thinking of OCD there, not AS. AS does have a high comorbidity list with one or more of, well, just about anything that has a name in the DSM, but by itself doesn't make one obsessive or anything.

ETA: having a narrow field of interest _is_ a characteristic of AS, but that's stuff you can learn from a book. It can be physics, history, or sports trivia. It's hard to explain, but it's not an all around equivalent for OCD. It's not really about compulsively compiling lists or any rituals. It's just being interested in one thing above all else, and it's in 99.99% of cases stuff that you can learn from books, sites, Wikipedia, whatever. It's that way precisely because an Aspie basically doesn't have much social success or understand the social interactions around, so it's largely retreating into stuff one can understand and can learn on one's own. I highly doubt that that girl's focus of interest was "horizontal athletics", because that's not how AS works (an aspie with their narrow focus of interest on sex could probably quote 100 different sexology manuals and know all positions from Kama Sutra by number, but not much field tests of her own), plus she'd probably have a lot more test data there if she did have a compulsion of any kind.

Hans --

I have to disagree.

First, not all AS are book-only learners. I know AS people who overwhelming narrow interest is something quite physical, including two AS obssessed about scuba diving. Here is an interesting (admittedly unscientific) obeservation: Both of them dive a lot, but mostly same locations over and over. Neither one is certified for decompression or anything seriously advanced, but diving at their certification level they have down pat, and still keep meticulous logs of depth, temperature, current, you name it. Needless to say, they are in good physical shape -- you have to be, if you lug 100 lb of gear across beach every weekend. Their obssession is real-world, if narrowly focused. And yes, they DO know all about deco tables and depth records, even though they do not do that sort of thing themselves (and probably never will).

Well, I would not consider 13 guys in four years "much field test". And it's not that difficult even for a socially awkward girl to rack up that much of a score. Article does not say anything about her quoting Kama Sutra, but I see definite parallels with my acquaintances who make color-coded bar graphs of their 20-50' dives -- and can quote Navy tables to hundreds of feet.

As I was saying, it does have a high co-morbidity with just about anything else. So, yes, it's possible that someone would have AS _and_ OCD. Or anything else. Or on a critical roll, they get to pick one more ;)

It can still be a mix of more than one condition you're seeing there.

ETA: and I think my saying it would be stuff you learn from books came across rather incomplete. Sure, some first hand testing may or not be involved. The key is that there wouldn't be much social interaction needed for it. Studying what happens under the water at 1000 ft depth is something an aspie would do. Studying how people work, except in as much as it can be done by reading an anthropology book, tends to be very very rare as foci of interest go.

Old-timers will recall the scandal which erupted on the MIT campus around 1976 or so when two young ladies used the back page of a student newspaper to compile their impresssions of a couple dozen guys they had slept with, rating them one to four stars.

As far as I remember the statistic, 13 (or similar) is way out of the normal range for female or male number of encounter.

Well, I've known some that got 17-25 while in college and then there's Redtail who apparently got that in two weeks.

The seven-minute Today Show segment has several photos of her. She is attractive.

That's what I thought too. Judging by her looks, and what the guys she "did" look like, she likely would have been one of the gals I would have had a very awkward encounter with when I stupidly tried to ask her out.

You lost me. Who's a virgin? You?

It's nice to know some are still innocent and naive.

You don't think 13 partners in three years of college is pretty normal these days for a relatively attractive female?

She rates the majority of them as being large. Which is weird because large guys are supposedly statistically rare. She must have some strange ability to find the larger guys. If that's the case she apparently does have one talent many women would love to have.
