Noreen Renier's exaggerated faculty status

The Office of Human Resources at Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, Florida already has confirmed that Noreen Renier has never been a "adjunct faculty member" as she lists herself on her web site. Nor has she ever received a "teaching appointment" from Santa Fe Community College as listed on her web site. Listings among many which were discredited more than 5 years ago but she continues to post as credible.

Did she effectively "rent out" an available empty classroom for performing a non-credit gathering to expand on her personal "super psychic
paranormal powers --- for which approximately 15 persons in the local community came? Yes.

But if accusing me of being "a liar" is based on one who distorts the truth --- perhaps one could find Ms. Renier's accusations off the mark.

As I've earlier indicated, I have survived more than two decades of her accusations while being called "a fraud" and "a liar" including such injections amid hundreds of primitive legal filings --- with many laughable arguments expressed --- across many, many, court rooms. Over the past two decades every single court and six out of six federal judges have tossed her accusations out and ruled in my favor, including multiple court awarded judgments exceeding $40,000.00 against Ms. Renier. And of course four of the last judges all agreed with a federal court judge who ruled against Ms. Renier, and rendered a judgment that she was not credible and misled his court.

She has under extensive questioning in court previously admitted to using exaggeration. But apparently saying she received a "teaching appointment" and is an "adjunct faculty member" across various accredited colleges and universities --- even though she's never taught an accredited course or been an adjunct faculty member according to any of the academic schools she lists --- is in the same vain as claiming she is a "super psychic" with amazing paranormal powers --- and very, very credible.

But now about to celebrate her 77th birthday her supporters are far harder to find, her book sales are in the dumps, and her exposure is dying outside of a few public libraries. For a look at her "top 20" claims see http://www.gpinquirygroup.com/gpinquirygroup/Quick%20reference%20of%20claims.html freshly updated.

Noreen Renier: Performer, never a college faculty member

Still noting my answer earlier directly above, this is for Ms. Renier’s apparent lack of understanding:

Every moment you spent with people who attended your performances on campus never gained anyone a step further toward their college or university diploma. The material you gave never met the level of quality and consistency relevant to the goals of higher education --- nor any college degree at any of the academic institutions you list on your web site.

Accreditation for college degree programs is crucial for institutions careful with their reputations and providing reputable and measureable courses. You failed to ever reach that standard.

You are listed at every campus --- if at all --- as failing to teach any accredited courses to ever obtain a degree.

Your performances never passed such a ‘standard for credit’ threshold to obtain even a 2 year degree, and your own lack of accredited teaching credentials likely eliminates you from ever being classified as an “faculty member” or even to reference yourself “an adjunct faculty member.”

Apparently you even lack a high school degree as under oath you failed to recall any high school from which you graduated. You are essentially a local community performer and every participant you gathered with never received even a single credit hour which could ever be applied against a university or college degree program at any of the accredited institutions you list.

So a performer who was allowed in an otherwise empty classroom ---yes. But describing yourself as an “adjunct faculty member” with “teaching appointments” and implying college level credit courses --- all exaggerations and certainly not credible. And many I believe would find your phasing boldly deceptive.

NJR or Sherlock,

Do either of you know what, if any, continuing education units were awarded for taking these classes? In what field were the CEUs given?

I don't have the data but I believe it was designated under "Community Lifestyles" --- a grand collection of non-credit courses. I've contacted the college for a response.

Santa Fe College and psychic Noreen Renier: Both negligent

Follow-Up, October 24, 2013:
Over the 7 weeks in 1997 that Ms. Renier provided her informal non-credit course at Santa Fe College (Gainesville, Florida), apparently the form which participants signed clearly indicated that presentations were distinct from accredited courses and under their continuing education program. At no time did any Santa Fe College written policy or officer of the program officially designate a presenter of such non-credit, unaccredited programs as under approved “teaching appointments” nor title a presenter as an “adjunct faculty member”.

Santa Fe College was informed of Ms. Renier’s descriptions as posted on her web site in December 2005, and again in March of 2006 --- postings which at that time were already several years old.

Meanwhile during the past decade numerous Florida residents ---including some in the Gainesville area ---have written checks from $250 to $1000 to Ms. Renier as payment for phone sessions of typically from 60-90 minutes.

Such payments were verified in the banking and financial accounts of Ms. Renier examined after subpoenas were granted through a federal court --- a U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Virginia which found Ms. Renier was not credible and had misled the court. Ms. Renier initially failed to report more than $100,000.00 in income and thousands of dollars in additional assets. See http://www.gpinquirygroup.com/gpinquirygroup/Her%20multiple%20bankruptcies.html

Many payments made to Ms. Renier came from Florida and southeastern U.S. residents covering private ‘psychic readings’ over the telephone, and others covered psychic detective ‘sensing’ phone calls on missing children cases. The question ---even today as the Ms. Renier’s web site remains unchanged--- is simple.

Are persons booking Ms. Renier in part because of her posted credentials as an “adjunct faculty member” across numerous “teaching appointments” throughout many southeastern colleges and universities including at Santa Fe College?

All of Ms. Renier’s academic “teaching appointments” as an “adjunct faculty member” are also tied to her continuing education (non-credit, unaccredited) presentations. And like Santa Fe College, no academic institution has provided any public statement to inform public forums such as this when asked. Santa Fe College remains silent.

Apparently it also has failed to cite any concerns about such exaggerated and highly questionable academic credential claims on its web site.
Santa Fe College in particular is at fault as it appears to have started the ball rolling and kept it rolling longer than others --- almost a decade after being informed. Comments?

I'm still concerned about the term "CEU." Perhaps Santa Fe College uses that term for any non-credit course, but it seems that the term is usually used for professionals who are required to take a certain number of CEUs in order to maintain a license.

For example, here is an article from Skeptical Inquirer which outlines the ridiculous courses that nurses can take in order to keep their nursing licenses:

http://www.csicop.org/si/show/state...eng_shui_and_snake_oil_for_california_nurses/

I'm just wondering if the CEUs (if there actually were any) offered for Noreen Renier's courses were taken by medical professionals for real credit.

I've been told no. CEU = Continuing Education Units, not credits. None are useable within the accredited scope at Santa Fe College and as such would not be accepted elsewhere.

Noreen Renier: Promoting exaggerated academic credentials

Apparently Noreen Renier is unable to respond here and showcase even a single college Administrator’s authorization to claim herself as an "adjunct faculty member" under a "teaching appointment."

Nothing from the University of Florida, the University of Delaware, University of Virginia, Santa Fe College, etc.

Hardly surprising. Her who web site is evidence of exaggerated and unfounded claims. And not surprisingly her web site has had few updates since 2005 and 2006.

When you have to create bogus and exaggerated academic credentials your entire existence is also likely a bold charade.

Read the times and dates...

You must learn to absorb all the information, not what you want the emails to read.. I taught both a credit and non-credit classes. You have their address and email, check it out...that's what good skeptics do; research.

NJR,

I think your most recent post here was to Sherlock and not the forum in general. I do not have their addresses and email. Could you help out and please describe the accredited classes you taught and what those credits could be used toward? In other words, what degree could be earned or what professional status could be maintained (in part, at least) by taking your course?

Thanks,
Ward

I don't believe the claim is taking the classes, it's teaching the classes. But corrections welcome if I have that wrong.

Noreen Renier is famous for claiming things that are delusional exaggerations.

But she offers nothing. Just as she filed hundreds of accusations in federal courts, the courts carefully researched her claims --- often across hundreds of pages of documents including JREF forum segments --- and ruled against her time and time again. (6 federal judgements against her in the past 6 years alone.)

She was found to have misled a court and in turn was judged not credible.

Here she displays her means to confuse and elude once again.

You find it. I'm not going to give you any courses that were credit courses. I'm not going to give you specific accredited schools where I taught credit courses. You find it. I'm an "adjunct faculty member" with "teaching appointments". You find out where. It's right there in front of all you stupid people.

Ahhhhhhhhhh but we're all quite wise to you Ms. Renier and all of us now know you offer nothing but delusions.

The final nails in the coffin. On Halloween night no less.

To put some final nails in this bold charade, psychic actress Noreen Renier has never responded only to me during this JREF forum thread. What you’ve seen on this thread is everything she’s provided.

So her comments here to “read the times and dates [and] learn to absorb all the information, not what you want the emails to read” along with “you have their address and email, check it out” are simply the continuous charades she plays. And has played for decades.

Facts: All the institution leaders and/or accredited faculty administrative listing personnel who were contacted at all of the academic listings Noreen Renier lists on her web site (below) uniformly agree.

In speaking for their own accredited institution and the placement of their institution in connection with Noreen Renier as having received a “teaching appointment” as an “adjunct faculty member” or ever having been given authorization to connect herself as an “adjunct faculty member” --- that, they agree, is an unauthorized falsehood.

And they all compound that finding by agreeing that their own academic records show Noreen Renier has never taught an accredited class where students received accredited college or university credits.

Even the confirmation she herself posted on this thread as being proof that she taught a single credit course at Santa Fe College actually is noted by Carol Wilson of the college on this thread as false. Noreen Renier performed for only a few hours under a non-credit, continuing education production of her own making.

She doesn’t teach anyone. She performs. And she publicly exaggerates and cites delusions.

Likewise authoritative contacts at all of the accredited academic institutions shown on her web site under “scientific testing” deny their institution ever authorized anyone to use their institution name in public listings in having conducted paranormal “scientific testing” of Noreen Renier. Indeed their institution has never authorized the claim that paranormal powers exist, nor as an institution have they conducted “scientific testing” of paranormal powers on anyone that concluded paranormal powers even exist. One mentioned that would be "complete nonsense".

Add them all up and you have dozens of intertwined lies and deceptions. This is the same type of façade Noreen Renier erects again and again --- and only defends with more confusion while building a “can of worms” publicly.

And these academic falsehoods have been showcased publicly by Noreen Renier for over two decades. And this is the small stuff she builds. For her biggest public deceptive whopper (“I found an airplane”) see http://www.commentarybysherlock.com/commentarybysherlock/runwaypart1.asp
