Ed clintonemails.com: Who is Eric Hoteham?

In other words, no progress.

Thanks for the update !

I'm not sure what you are getting at (other than leave Hillary alone).

Avid readers of the thread know that there is an on-going dialogue between the Congress and Hillary's mouthpieces.

While I am certain that the Shillaries would like this to go away, lots of people are eager for the investigation to run its course.

Sure, Hillary would rather spend all her time lying to huckleberries on the campaign trail, but I think we deserve better, the American people deserve better.

Keep on bumping the thread, friendo!

Hillary Clinton's Benghazi emails contain few revelations

Hillary Clinton's Benghazi emails contain few revelations: sources
(Reuters) - A cache of Hillary Clinton emails expected to be made public soon contains no support for Republican accusations that Clinton was involved in efforts to downplay the role of Islamic militants in the deadly 2012 attacks on U.S. installations in Benghazi, Libya, people familiar with the emails said.

What do Hillary Clinton's emails reveal about Benghazi response?
The House Benghazi Select Committee, headed by Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-South Carolina, has scheduled a public hearing during the week of May 18 to ask the former state secretary about her use of a private email account.

House GOP considers next step in Hillary Clinton email drama
The former first lady has said that she used her own "homebrewed"* server and account as a matter of "convenience." Clinton has maintained that she has complied with the law and has passed on all work-related emails to federal archivists. She deleted her private emails.

Thanks man, good if somewhat recycled stuff. (avid readers will recognize that the Benghazi stuff is a rehash of something I posted a while ago in the moderated thread).

Solid Jackson.

You mean you already knew that Clinton emails contains no support for Republican accusations ?

And you already knew Gowdy gave up on a private hearing, and scheduled a public one ?

Well, it was news to me, so maybe it's news to not-so-avid-readers of other threads.

LOL!!!! Read my post in the moderated thread about the Benghazi emails.

Gowdy offered Hillary the opportunity to schedule a private meeting. Her and her mouthpieces foolishly said no. So we are on to the next step, two public conferences.

Considering that she has answered seven whole questions from the press so far while running for President of the United States, she might be out of practice!

Rewrite history much ? Gowdy demanded a private hearing prior to may 1st.

http://benghazi.house.gov/news/pres...requests-secretary-clinton-interview-on-email

Toward that end and because of the Secretary’s unique arrangement with herself as it relates to public records during and after her tenure as Secretary of State, this Committee is left with no alternative but to request Secretary Clinton appear before this Committee for a transcribed interview to better understand decisions the Secretary made relevant to the creation, maintenance, retention, and ultimately deletion of public records. The Committee is willing to schedule the interview at a time convenient for Secretary Clinton, but no later than May 1, 2015.

I got news for you - it's not happening before may 1st. Suck it, Trey !

Her and her mouthpieces foolishly said no.

It was foolish why, exactly ?

So we are on to the next step, two public conferences.

The first of which is now scheduled.

Considering that she has answered seven whole questions from the press so far while running for President of the United States, she might be out of practice!

Oh, is the press going to ask her questions in the hearing ? If not, why is this relevant ?

Also, you neglected to address this :

Did you already surmise that the Clinton emails contains no support for Republican accusations ? Or do you have a different thought on the matter ?

Suck it Trey? Oh dear. Hillary was offered the chance to do a private and a public. She of course stonewalled, so now she is doing TWO public hearings.

Big win Hilldawg!

As for the Clinton emails, I said twice that they were previously discussed in the moderated thread. Here is a link.

Posted a month ago. Feel free to address your comments in that thread. Thanks a bunch!

Correct - Gowdy wanted a private hearing. Hillary declined, and got a public one. So yes, win for Hillary.

Again, you dodged the question on why is a public hearing foolish ? Sunmaster, earlier in the thread, made a case for why a private hearing was desirable, and that a public hearing would be bad for gowdy. Was he wrong ?

I am asking for you thoughts on what I posted in this thread, about her emails, and the hearing where she is going to be asked about her emails and her email server.

Dodge noted.

So let's see. HC is running for president. She feels she has nothing to hide with Benghazi. She can have a private hearing where what comes out of it is filtered through the bias of whoever is speaking.

Or she can have 2 public hearings where people judge the evidence for themselves. Public hearings which means publicity
Big win Hilldawg!
Yes indeed big win.

Oh i missed the part about "foolish" because I was rolling my eyes so hard at the "suck it Trey" line which made me think that this is some sports event and that you are Hillary's number one fan, amusingly enough.

I think it is foolish because it simply shines a bright light on Hillary's scummy side. But hey, I have not been running for President since 2000, what do i know, amiright?

As far as the emails on Benghazi go, the mods have made it very clear that the discussion MUST be confined to the moderated thread. Please abide by their wishes, and discuss it where I have first raised the issue over a month ago.

Thanks ever so much.

Yeah, it was funny, wasn't it ? :)

Hmm. Well, I don't see how these topics are not intertwined, and can be confined to only the one moderated thread ... but I understand not wanting to admit you are wrong comment about something you feel should stay in the moderated thread.

It will be interesting. Republicans will be attempting to ask embarrassing questions while doing their best to not look like extreme partisan jerks. Clinton will be attempting to put the best possible spin on her decision to use a private email server, the delayed release of her emails and her non transparent method to determine what to release and what to delete. Two sets of skillful people doing their best to move public opinion with their skills to spin facts and rumors to their advantage.

Presumably the Republicans will attempt to tie the email scandal to the foundation scandal. That is going to be interesting. Clinton may try to divert attention from that by claiming the subject is outside issue of the emails. But I don't think so since that strategy will make it look like she has something to hide. If the Republicans stray in to Benghazi Clinton will be on much firmer ground since the Benghazi scandal is clearly a partisan witch hunt and facts will be her friend there.

I appreciate it and the mods no doubt do so as well. Look forward to your posts in that thread!

I agree. Both sides will come away thinking theirs was the clear benefactor of the hearings. Where I think HC comes out a winner (assuming there was no actually breaking of laws), is those truly undecided will come away seeing it was at best a honest attempt at getting out the truth and accept she didn't break any laws, or realize it really was a witch hunt.

I think ultimately its a win for Hillary to do it public IF she can appear genuine and not evasive. The issue with the public hearing is that she decides if the answer to the question can be shared publicly or if it is a security breach to answer. A private meeting doesnt have that concern really.

Is it scheduled already? I didnt find any date.
It will be interesting to see how she answers those questions that don't seem to have any innocent answer. And will she answer to the press before the hearing? I'm guessing no. Not without clearing the list of questions beforehand and having her answers prepared.
