You're chastising me for staying on topic with the thread?
Pointing out the genesis for the topic is on topic. Plus, I have no qualms pointing out hypocrisy regarding the topic when it's so blatant. But feel free to join my or another other thread where it would be on topic. Not that I expect it.

And your only defense of Clinton is an attack on Republicans. You can't actually defend her actions here.
I have no interest in defending her. I'm interested in the facts, something you should consider some time.

Didn't we cover that in this post:

Unless she violated a rule dealing with the handling of classified or sensitive but unclassified information, I don’t see how she violated any law or regulation," said Bass, who is now executive director of the Bauman Foundation.

I don't see any credible sources claiming she violated the law in regards to using her private email, or server. Despite the fact that she took an excessively long time to turn over copies of email.
The part I highlighted is precisely what she did.

5 mistakes Hillary Clinton made in her latest e-mail press conference

Man, she is so bad at these. She is antagonistic, sarcastic while at the same time being completely tone deaf.

""like with a cloth or something?" HURR DURR, HILLARY!

Jaysus, what a god damn mope she is.

To be honest, I think she did ok. Remember, it's not so easy to defend the indefensible. For example, look at how bad a job of it that the resident Hillary boosters are doing in this thread.

I understand you believe that. But that didn't seem to have anything to do with your post about title 18 ?

How so? She did come into possession of classified documents that she stored in a location that was not authorized for the storage of classified information. It seems directly applicable for this situation. Had she only stored unclassified information on the server, it might not be a problem (assuming she met any archiving policy requirements).

knowingly removes such documents or materials without authority and with the intent to retain such documents or materials at an unauthorized location

OK then, but I still don't agree with your interpretation. She's been deemed guilty a dozen times over by all the lawyers in this thread.

I think I will wait to see what happens in the non-Internet world.

I'm not aware of any Hillary boosters in this thread, maybe you could quote some. Certainly not me. I do admit to questioning the ongoing BS from the right wing however. If seeking the truth is a booster in your eyes, I admit to being a booster of the truth.

Sure, DJ, sure. Pull the other one.

Goodness! I didn't think you'd pull it so fast!
You can continue playing games, I understand why you would do so.

I'll move to the bleachers and watch the the Internet Lawyers and Vigilantes to continue their circle jerk.

Have a great day.

Are you suggesting she did not know her system was not approved for classified information storage? If she knew it, she is guilty, if not she should not be allowed to handle anything more dangerous than a Twinkie.

Davidjames, wareyn and noahfence trying to derail the thread?

Must be a day that ends in "y."

In Bizarro Republican world, discussing the thread topic (this phony scandal, and its causes) is a derail, while talking about Bridgegate or other posters is topical.

People keep claiming that this is a phony scandal, and yet, it just keeps getting worse.

Want an actual phony scandal? Bridgegate. This? No, this isn't phony. And it won't go away either, because Hillary clearly ****** up. She ****** up big time. Nothing she has done in this entire episode has been the right thing.

If it was getting worse, I'd expect things like charges filed, not more empty claims about how "not phony" it is. Of course it won't go away, because the Republicans have no positives for this campaign, and must invent negatives.

I'm sure in the day-to-day functions of the job, the Secretary of State must expect to receive classified material. Say if someone in the DoD wanted to send some satellite data or intelligence to the Secretary of State, how did Hillary have this accomplished? Since she says she never received classified material on her server, then where did she receive classified material?

Via paper, presentation or spoken word.

Phony scandal. DRINK!

The Intelligence Community Inspector General is a "REPUBLICAN."

I know, because I read it on iSkep and it is all those crafty REPUBLICANS are behind this assault on the poor gal that has a billion dollar war chest and is ready for President.

Do I hear "vast right wing conspiracy" anybody?

Cripes, it was her "right wing" paranoia in the first damn place that led to her starting up a cowboy server.

Republicans didn't invent Hillary's server. She brought this entirely upon herself. There is no one else to blame. You can't actually defend what she did, so trying to deflect is the best you can do without admitting how badly she screwed up.

By badly screwed up you mean not under investigation, no evidence of a crime, and no charges filed, right?

I'm not sure the assumption that day-to-day activities of SoS require email, much less access to classified email, is a good assumption.

My guess is she had lots of deputy-secretaries or some such to handle things. You send it to so-and-so, he will brief the SoS in person.

In a similar vein, I've been asking for a really long time in this thread ... how did the benghazi committee not know that HRC was running her own email server unitl recently. How is it that her email address could possibly a secret to so many people in govt for so long ?

That's what you look for in a president? Someone who hasn't had charges filed against them?

You are welcome to that standard, but I'll set my sights a little higher.
