Well, here's one I hadn't heard before, and I got the dubious honour of having someone tell me about it recently.

No, not that the climate change is somehow a lie. That CT is old hat.

No, this fellow was telling me that the whole troubles we were having this year (you know, long winter, floods, etc) are the result of some conspiracy to weaponize climate. Apparently something "they" have been studying since all the way back in Hitler's time.

Yeah, I had a red palm shape on my forehead by the end of that talk...

I'm told that the chemtrails are a part of it. When the other reasons for chemtrails got debunked they went with "weather manipulation".

I saw someone taking video of a contrail not too long ago. I kinda wanted to push them off the sidewalk into traffic. Kinda.

Yeah, my nephew told me this one last year.

As with most CTs, when you get to "What in the world is the motive?" you either get crickets, or dozens of things thrown at the wall hoping something will stick. He settled on "Control the sheep," similar to the anti-vax crowd.

My nephew has trouble with the concept of "when you hear hoofbeats, think horses first, not zebras." The more convoluted and ridiculous the CT, the more attractive it is to him.

I liken this CT to setting the entire town on fire just to increase the fire department budget.

Yes, chemtrails were part of it, and he couldn't understand what contrails really are when I explained so I was obviously one of the sheep, I'm guessing.

I imagine this CT relies heavily on the genuine weather modification research that was actually done. Such research was largely aimed at making specific weather happen, or not happen, in specific places at specific times - with varying degrees of success. There were whole conferences on the subject in the '60s, and the military were very interested in it in terms of making conditions favourable for reconnaissance and bombers, and potentially making life unpleasant for enemy forces on the ground by raining on them and their supply lines a lot.

Extending that to "let's screw everything up beyond repair, threaten global economies and populations indiscriminately to the point where we either starve or drown, and risk provoking wars over access to drinking water for the benefit of no-one." is a teensy bit of a stretch.

Well, there's a difference between seeding existing clouds to cause a rain, and messing up the Gulf Stream on a scale literally the size of the Northern Atlantic. But I suppose for some people that's already way too much thinking...

This is the usual, reflection-free fantasising.
Given that we struggle to produce accurate weather forecasts for more than a day or so ahead, the idea that weaponised weather could be created and directed with enough precision to hurt only the enemy, and not oneself, is really quite unlikely.
Then, as others have said, there's the problem of motive. 'Get rich by destroying the economy' has always sounded like the ravings of a paranoid illiterate to me.
