OK, so there are now ten candidates for this waste of time and money.

Place your bets, now.

Of, and did anyone else misread the last in the list as Lucy Worsley, or was it just me?

They are still giving this a full on campaign it seems.

A fantastic first of two Action Days canvassing in Clacton.

We started the morning with a campaign briefing, where @Nigel_Farage shared some key updates with the team. The message on the doorsteps couldn’t have been clearer.

Residents are proud to have @Nigel_Farage as their MP and are determined to vote @reformparty_uk on polling day to reinforce the mandate they gave him. They want that message heard loud and clear across the country.

People are tired of the same old promises from the political establishment. They want change, they believe Reform can deliver it, and they told us they want to see @Nigel_Farage in No. 10.

Looking forward to getting back out again tomorrow. Vote for @Nigel_Farage, and together we will deliver the change this country so desperately needs 🤝 Britain needs Reform

Already mentioned in the main UK politics thread, I think, but there are reports that Reform are diverting party activists from campaigning for Mayor of Manchester to the Clacton by election.

i bet Binface doesn't want to be an MP for Clacton.
I suspect he will withdraw at the last minute, having made Nige look as ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ ridiculous as he truly is on the national stage, leaving him all alone as the sole candidate who "can't lose", totally humiliated and primed to face the corruption enquiry again.

Unfortunately I think it'll be Farage, the entertainment for me is seeing how many votes Count Binface gets
Yup Farage is the favourite. But when he's competing against self-, confessed joke candidates, to compete is to take a big L.

Especially if the reports of him taking Reform activists from the Manchester mayoral election campaign are true.

He's forced himself to take a man dressed as a bin as a serious competitor.

If he doesn't get 90% of the vote, it's a humiliation.

First time visiting the constuency since election night?

I expect Farage will win it easily, unfortunately.

However, if there is a glimmer of hope, it is that Farage might lose the most extreme members to the only person who is clearly worse than him in the race, and that is failed actor, Laurence Fox. Could he peel off just enough votes to make Binface viable? Well, no, I doubt it.
