Last weekend, Hansen was caught on tape taking Caddell on a romantic dinner at the exclusive Ritz-Carlton Hotel, before spending the night at her Palm Beach apartment.
Hansen, who has two sons, was caught in an undercover sting operation arranged by the National Enquirer.
A source told the supermarket tabloid that the pair met last March at a party in Palm Beach.
Caddell, who was once an intern with NBC in New York, introduced herself to Hansen and 'there was an immediate physical attraction between them', according to a source.
The source added: "Chris and Kristyn got on so well that she ended up going back to his room at The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach -- and later boasted to pals about staying the night with him."

His show was not geared towards catching predators so much as it was about staging that exquisite moment of destroying someone completely. It's all about the ambush, you know and toying with the mark beforehand. Inside jokes with the audience,really humiliating someone maximally. His show was entertainment.

Why was the show cancelled? Someone blew their brains out after getting caught in one of their little traps. Had enough entertainment folks? Let's see that brain spatter, yeah!

His show reminds me of the utter depravity in the Roman Ampitheater with the thousands cheering on wild animals tearing christians or whomever apart. You target groups as subhuman and then its okay to stone them to death or light them afire. It is a mentality ushering in and perpetuating the Dark Ages. Lynch mob mentality.

He gave me the creeps when I saw him, and did not like the show. How can you do this for entertainment?

I don't think it was meant as entertainment. Miami Vice, Community, those are programs designed for entertainment. To catch a predator was Hanson's introspective look at the perverted human animal.

Plus the maximum degradation was actually prior to the show, adult males engaging minor girls hoping to commit statutory rape. Relative to the show itself, what landed people on the show is really just the tip of the depravity iceberg.

Of course it was meant as "Entertainment". They sure weren't doing it as a public service. If they were they would've simply called the police and not have filmed it the way that they did and then put it in the lucrative Prime Time slots the way that they did. While nowhere near as sleazy as the people they caught on camera they were still pretty sleazy in the way that they presented it. I watched about 1/2 of one show and turned it off for something else. I think that it was an infomercial for one of those assless bathrobe things, much better than that piece of dreck show.

If they were they would've simply called the police and not have filmed it the way that they did and then put it in the lucrative Prime Time slots the way that they did. While nowhere near as sleazy as the people they caught on camera they were still pretty sleazy in the way that they presented it. I watched about 1/2 of one show and turned it off for something else. I think that it was an infomercial for one of those assless bathrobe things, much better than that piece of dreck show.

So it's not entertaining, but it was "meant" as entertainment? Seems contradictory. I don't really find any of those news style shows "entertaining" in the first place. Nor do I think by virtue of a primetime slot does something become entertainment.
Was it a public service? Yes. If I remember correctly it's a task force of volunteers and police that actually scours the internet and lures these guys in. It's not like the interns at the network get Yahoo accounts as "sassy13" and do this from 9-5. Just because they allow Chris Hanson to be there and put it on primetime doesn't make it any less of a public service.
But I agree, the way they went about it, letting him maximize the humiliation was the lowest common denominator. I don't think society is any worse off for not seeing it. That being said, I'm not losing any sleep over some pedophile blowing his head off for getting caught.

Perhaps a breakdown is in order then:

"was actually prior to the show"- was before the show
"adult males engaging minor girls" - men talking to young girls
"hoping to commit statutory rape" - trying to have illegal sex with them

So the most degrading part was when the men tried to have sex with very young girls before the show took place. Filming them and asking them why they did what they did isn't "degrading" and certainly not as degrading as pedophilia.

Or are you comfortable with pedophilia? Some people don't think it's a big deal to have sex with prepubescent girls because that's what Mohamed did or because that's how they did it in biblical times.

That's the most warped thing I've read today. You think pedophilia is slightly slightly more sadistic than filming the loser as he tries to explain why he did it. That makes no sense. You're actually apologizing for pedophiles
Filming the pedophile being tortured would be slightly less sadistic than pedophilia. Public humiliation is actually a common form of punishment, something I think would make people think twice before committing these disgusting acts.

Then the one guy kills himself. Then their lawyers come in and tell them to stop, but not to stop too quickly as that'll look like they're admitting guilt, opening themselves up to a huge lawsuit as the deep pockets target by the guy's estate kill all the lawyers.

I disagree. The men who get caught serve as object lessons which might keep other men away from young girls. Observing the looks of fear and horror on these mens faces would deter a lot of would be predators.
