I don't, but I watched and saw the e-mails verifying the names and people involved and there is no doubt that that occurred as described when described. No calls or further emails received any response and the agreements to come to the meeting involved were beginning to be canceled within an hour of the mayor's decision to not support the bullying fat guy for Governor (he did not use those terms, knowing what I now know about Christy I have no respect for him anymore - he's just another republicker) In addition when there was a change in the person in charge at one of the offices (Port Authority IIRC) a new arrangement to meet was set up with the new person and then canceled with no reason by the new person. No further calls or emails (verified sent) received any response. This was last night MSNBC. Update for completeness.

If you are not joking, you have not been following his(?) other posts. He (?) is not joking at all and, as clearly a republicker or worse (teabagger), means what he says. He is of course, incorrect/wrong in every possible way.

That's why I am hoping they will go after the underlings for heavy jail time - one or more will surely sing loud and clear with that hanging over them - though I hope if they are resolute enough to take a huge hit for big boy they get some undesired new friends in jail to help them deeply regret that decision.

Fulop had been set to meet with state Treasurer Andrew P. Sidamon-Eristoff as well as top officials from the Office of Recovery and Rebuilding, Department of Transportation, Department of Community Affairs and the Economic Development Authority. Some were intended as introductions between the Christie administration and the new mayor, while Kelly says in one email specific policies and projects may have been discussed.

Yes.

And so what if they were "meet and greets". Those types of meetings lay the groundwork for future cooperation between the city and state, that apparently the Christie administration was no longer interested in because a Democratic mayor wouldn't endorse a Republican governor. The gall of that mayor. How dare he appear to want someone else elected governor.

According to the NY Times, it is much worse than that.

Two months later, the day Mr. Fulop, a Democrat, relayed word that he could not endorse the governor, a Republican, the meetings were all suddenly off. Documents show that Mr. Christie’s commissioners themselves called to cancel — most within the space of an hour — leaving Jersey City needing to fill its budget without money from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, its requests for help with Hurricane Sandy recovery, transportation and other issues falling on deaf ears.

Meanwhile, the Democratic mayor of Harrison, who endorsed Mr. Christie, got $250 million in Port Authority money for a new transit station. The mayor of Union City, another Democratic endorser, got an increase in state aid when bigger cities were being cut off, and $3 million in Port Authority money even though the authority does not operate there. The Democratic county executive in Essex County, who brought along other mayors and black pastors with his endorsement of Mr. Christie, got $7 million in Port Authority money for a park, $4 million in state aid for a vocational school, and personal assistance from Mr. Christie, who served as chairman of a fund-raising campaign for the executive’s beloved zoo. Mr. Christie even showed up to a groundbreaking for a new garage for county vehicles.

Me too, but I don't know of any other potential republican establishment candidate. The dead don't do well in elections (er, other than vote Democrat).

At this point in the game, it's all name recognition. Christie is way ahead of other Republicans on that, but that can change. The only reason Clinton is polling well is that everybody has heard of her.

The new republican right is all about party before the public, yes. Now it's out in the open : "support me politically, or I will arrange suffering and/or death for the people you represent".

Perhaps Obama should simply nuke states that vote Republican in the next Presidential election?
 
This is how he's proving his "conservative" cred, by showing that he can bully his way past being caught bullying.

He will only be washed up as governor if they can prove he was in on the bridge debacle.

I don't think he ever stood a chance for the White House. He is totally pragmatic with no real party loyalty, and that will kill him in the primaries. His style is too regional, and the guy is a fat slob. He is an urban politician, a good one and a smart man, but not someone who can ever get elected president.

Maybe this will be good for him, in that it will prune his ambitions to a realistic scale.
