Chiropractor and bosses

My boss has migraine headaches, recently she started daily visits to a chiropractor. She and some others in the office are always talking about the marvels of chiropractory...well actually they gossip about experiences and share notes on herbal/natural cures.

I was in an car wreck years ago (Dodge Ram Rear ended my Opel GT small sports car). My lawyer convinced me to see a Chiropractor. well my back never got any better, in fact worse. But after six months the two of them convinced me to settle. (I guess they don't get paid until settlement.) Anyway I cannot prove it but I am convinced the manipulations made things worse.

I told her about my experience and what I feel about Chiropractors in general. Her take is I had a bad apple but hers is great and helps her. (although when pressed she admits she still has the same number of migraines as she did prior to this. I guess she is waiting for it to kick in.

I have decided to gather up all the research I can on the subject and set it out in a public area. anyone know of any good articles on the subject?

http://www.chirobase.org/ has quite a few artcles and includes links to other sites.

My girlfriend and I's exercise instructor has been trying to get her to go to a chiropractor. The information on Chirobase further convinced me that would a be a bad idea since that chiropractor bases his treatments upon the idea of subluxations as most do.

At our exercise intructor's request, the chiropractor called us. He tried to reassure me of its safety by mentioning that he had treated even a 93 year old woman and a newborn infant.

I didn't think an idiot who would perform a manipulation of the delicate spine of a newborn would be a good judge of safety.

The most dangerous manoeuvres they perform are neck manipulations. If that's what your boss has been getting it might be worth looking into the controversy over neck manipulation causing strokes.

Why could you not download the UK-Skeptics factsheet btw?
