Chinese manned space launch

The nerve of them, doing what we already do. Don't they know that space belongs to America?

I never said that they were wrong or anything. I just found it interesting and posted a link.

From Bob Park's weekly newletter:
Americans should welcome China's new direction. Sending humans into space offers no military, economic, or scientific advantage; rather it's a symbolic demonstration that China has arrived as an economic power and can now afford to waste vast sums of money.
I love it when Bob talks about the manned space program.

Here is something to consider: I.Q.

Do we, or do THEY have rocket scientists with greater I.Q.'s?

Now, consider this: Suppose WE have the scientists right now, with the highest I.Q.'s. But what if the Chinese have a tenfold number of scientists with a lesser I.Q.? (just somewhat less) Who wins out?: Fewer numbers that possess big I.Q.'s, or massive numbers of researchers with somewhat lesser I.Q.'s?

Wernher Von Braun and the other Germans departed a long time ago. Probably not much to choose between the current crop of the respective nations.
