In this tract, as in the others of that ilk, the Almighty lacks quite a bit in the omniscience department. The Almighty needs to have the entire case presented to him, then needs to ask whether the accused's name is in a book. This would suggest that the contents of that book are not put there by the Almighty, but the book is rather the work of another. And since the Almighty is bound by what is in the book, then it must follow that there is another deity who is superior to Him ....

But there I go again, trying to apply logic to religion.

I waited tables for 10 years. I got a ton of them over the years along with books and other style booklets like the fake 20$ bill. I tend to get them on sunday or a day like Easter. I got yelled at a few times for working on sunday. Used to drive me nuts if they did not come in to eat then we would not be open on sunday lol.

Because accepting it involves faith that god is just. Faith is required in order to accept something that is counter rational and faith, with respect to religious belief, is considered a virtue. The more absurd the concept, the more faith is required to accept it. Hence, those with the most faith are considered the most virtuous...

It's very telling that the place I usually find them is abandoned on the floor of the men's restroom or in one of those ash tray canisters or other places less pleasant.
 
I feel sorry for the guy. I really do. Reading his tracts, I can't help but get the impression he writes those things more as a way of justifying his beliefs more than trying to convert or convince anyone. They're just... too over the top to do that kind of thing.
 
I love it how his bad characters have never heard of Jesus or Christianity.. And just a mention of them brings people to the light!

That's why people are atheists or criminals.. They just haven't heard The Good Word.
 
I am a little confused as to the morale of this story.

Is it god really hates kids or god is the bigger bully?
 
I feel some colorations coming on. I haven't done any for awhile.

I don't have time tonight. Maybe tomorrow. There are a few great panels.

You're way off. The moral is it's OK to be an absolutely horrible human being and awful parent who drives their own children to a life of crime and suicide as long as you confess your sins before you die. Duh. ;)

I got that too.

Maybe the message is that God is willing to send three kids to hell in order to get one adult into heaven.

And if she can be joyful in heaven under those circumstances she really is a mean momma.
