Merged Chick Tracts

http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0016/0016_01.asp

He didn't see Budda and he didn't get reincarnated.

I love the way the Buddhist monk is portrayed in this tract. Because Buddhist monks are so well known for flipping out and becoming aggressive when presented with opposing viewpoints.

What's interesting is that Chick always portrays as evil and intolerant anyone who tries to stop one of his Christian charcters from expressing their religious views. But then when one of his Christian characters hears about someone of a different religion preaching, they will become incredibly angry and aggressive, and will do all they can to shut down the person speaking about their religion and to keep anyone else from hearing them. I mean, just look at the rage on little Suzy's face whenever someone mentions the word "Allah." It's like she's about to eat your family.

Yes and I've just about run out of the good ones. There are many other tracts but the ones I've been posting are the most absurd. Religious bigotry set to cartoons is unique even for the fundy community.

Is anybody good at drawing cartoons? I think we need to make our own tract depicting what Lil Suzy will be like when she grows up. I see her pipe bombing an elementary school because they have copies of "Harry Potter" in the school library. They'll have to shoot her out of a clocktower.

Not to mention equating financial (worldly) success with karmic status. Buddhists are well known for espousing monetary gain as the greatest measure of a soul's journey, and becoming the leader of a country reflects how much a soul has grown!

I wonder if all of Chick's buddist leaders look like Kim Il Song.

What really amuses is Jack's way of killing off the unsuspecting sinners immediately. "Three hours later, the sheriff is bitten by a snake?" Geez, that reverend wasn't kidding around.

For the sake of argument, I am willing to concede that capital punishment falls under the philosophy of justice, but I am going to take issue with the age. As near as I can tell, only Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Yemen execute people for crimes committed before age 18.

Do you really think justice calls for executing a 17-year-old?

So does the United States. Sean Sellers one of 22 people executed for crimes they committed before the age of 18.

I was under the impression that the U.S. put a stop to that.
