I'm really disappointed you've started labelling them "Jack Chick Tact." You have a themed troll roll going, and it was funny. Now, it's just meh.
 
This one is funny. Christ cop is so busy saving the hood and bringing the gang bangers to God that he just drops the hurt cop he went in there to save in the first place.
After a little praying they just drive off and leave the hurt cop laying there in hoodville.

One theme I see in these is that the only reason people are sinners and unsaved is because they never heard of Jesus Christ.
That is too funny.

The people in these cartoons are like "I know all about that heaven and hell God crap it's not for me. Who? Jesus Christ? No, I never heard of him. Please tell me more.
What's that? He died for me? Wowsers! I'm saved!".

Besides, isn't it a huge leap for the Pope to go from "homosexuals are perpetual sinners who will burn in hellfire" to "if you engage in homosexual sex with strangers, please use a condom"?

How? I thought the whole condom issue was to do with contraception. To be honest I didn't think the Catholic Church had an issue with homosexuals using condoms.*

When he comes out and says ""homosexuals aren't perpetual sinners who won't burn in hellfire" then I might be impressed, until then the cynic in me says this is a "relaxation" where they didn't really give a crap anyway.

Not when he followed up by stating that the prostitutes' condom use might be the beginning of "a more human" expression of sexuality. He just thinks that male prostitutes aren't worth rules made for humans.
The RCC's stance on condom use, especially in Africa, is murderous, and every single member of the Church hierarchy should be in prison.
 
The stance of the Catholic Church has always been that condoms are never, ever ok. The stance of the Pope in the article is still not quite up to the standards of rational human beings in the 21st century, but surely you see that even if it's really a small step, it's a step in the right direction - and considering the entrenched position of the church on this matter, it really is quite a big step.

I'm sure the stance of the church regarding homosexuals hasn't changed from condemning them to hellfire, but there's now a 'but'. Homosexuals are perpetual sinners that will burn in hellfire, but if you still do it, please use a condom. It's not a big 'but', but it's still a 'but' - it's the first small step towards a more enlightened stance.

Don't believe I'm in any way supporting the Catholic Church here, but let's at least give them some positive reinforcements when they start down on the road towards 21st century enlightenment.

I agree. We should welcome them to the 18th century, and encourage them to add a few more centuries.
