I think my skeptical tendencies are well known here, but something about chi always nagged at me. If we can have dark energy, why not chi? After all, it's the energy of the universe.

I decided to see if I could perform a Chi Knock-out Punch. Rather than work with martial arts experts, I learned on my own. I needed test subjects, so I used my own children, aged 2 and 4. I didn't tell them anything about my chi before attempting this demonstration. Besides, they are too young to get the concept, so they make perfect test subjects.

Anyway, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, so here's video evidence. Debunk it if you can. It's as least as good as the other video evidence out there for chi.

 
While I obviously intended this to be humorous, I hope the mods don't move it to Humor because I'm actually making a very serious point here. The way this came about is that I play a little tackle game with the kids. They quickly learned to anticipate the tackle and fall down on their own, which is what many (not all) martial arts demonstrations look like. Soon they were falling without me even touching them.

That's when the chi thing popped into my head. I tried it, and they fell right down. I called my wife in to video tape it. The prompting you see is no different than the prompting Chi Masters give their students. When I did the "control group" clip, I didn't tell them not to fall down. They figured it out on their down without prompting. When I went back to the chi, they fell down again, all on their own choosing.

In all honesty, this clip is virtually no different than what we see from people who actually proclaim to believe in this stuff.
 
And because it is so, it's a perfect response to those claiming their Grand Master has chi powers. Many thanks to your team!
 
It's a hoax. Those are really 3 year olds in a 2 and 4 year old's costume. I'd like to see DNA evidence to establish the claim that they're yours. And that "bed" looks more like a bunch of comforters covering a futon.

Obvious fake.

At 2:02 you can see that the second kid DOESN'T have any shadow, but the first one does have one. Good job on the graphics though : those virtually computed children seem very very accurate and realistic, albeit you forgot some shadow details.
 
A very funny video with a very valid point about the Chi videos that have been on YouTube. Good on you, UY.
 
Change clothes, rewrite the graphics, and repeat for a holy roller Christian "healing" on stage.
 
Change clothes and re-write graphics again, and demonstrate how an object can descend faster than free-fall.

Scene: Two kids hanging by their hands from a low tree branch. Off-camera voice counts, "3 ... 2 ... 1 ... ZERO!" On 'zero' both kids let go. Cut to announcer's startled facial expression. Cut back to kids -- one standing on the ground, and one just beginning to drop from the branch.

Your friends will be amazed!

Desertgal - The video says this is not staged. I'm not making up stuff after the fact!! Besides, I am not the one making this claim. The kids are. I am simply conducting an investigation into my experiences where people report an immediate reaction to my chi. I'm not making this claim - others are. Affidavits anyone?

Are there any skeptics willing to be subjects? Should I attempt my chi and have it fail to knock you down, then the claim will be falsified. Of course, I might say, "My chi is not working today because I have eaten food instead of air," so we may have to reschedule. Or I might say, "My chi didn't feel strong," and that may be why you don't fall down. You have your own chi, so I might say, "Your chi is stronger than my chi."

However, if I say "My chi is strong today, and your chi is weak," and you do not fall down, then the claim will be falsified. Unless you used a chi nullification technique.'
